  They phoned before we arrived to make sure we knew that the hotel was on the southbound side of the motorway otherwise we would have had to walk through the underpass to the hotel.   Arrived in the dark along a single track country lane. Sat nav showing me the way to packridge farm. I couldn't see a sign for the dairy but I drove up the drive with my lights on full beam and the owner came out to greet me! Phew I was in the right place! Very welcoming, carried my bag in and up to the room 'cafe au lait' in the main farm house.... cosa dice la gente » Delightful room, bathroom hidden behind wardrobe doors. Spacious, new and clean. Bedding really cosy. Very quiet. Breakfast is a buffet, lots if cho - I liked how the guy did his best to help me out when I wanted to bathe my nearly 2 year old but my room didn't have a bath, he was very helpful and sorted me out with a makeshift bath! Just a nice place all round, very clean and comfy, in a nice quiet area (only a 5 minute drive to Paulton's Park though, ideal!) My (nearly) 2 year old seemed to like it, and slept well through the night. Facilities were top notch.

  As a disabled, profoundly deaf visitor, I was greeted by Wendy the manager, who upon learning some of my difficulties attended my every needs, excellent service. The full English breakfast comes with cereals, toast and yogurt or fruit was available to help yourself should you want it. Lovely room with plenty of cupboard space a - It is a nice place to stay for short term, as we spent only one night it is hard to rate, we only stayed long enough to use the bed and breakfast, the hotel is close (walking distance) to the town centre, and is located in a quiet part of the town.

  The member of staff who greeted us was lovely and really helpful - providing crayons & pictures as we went in was ingenious so parents can unpack & kids are busy!! She said we looked tired so she would be quick :-) Everything was v. clean and things like the Tv having channels to keep kids amused and extra pillows makes it more relaxed. I recommend this hotel. - We spent one night in order to attend a social event in Southampton. The hotel was great with friendly staff. We ate our evening meal in the restaurant and had breakfast there in the morning. Our evening meal was great value and even though there were a lot of children and very busy it was still comfortable. We were only a short journey from where we were going and it was lovely to return to somewhere quiet and comfortable.

The room (Rose Room) was huge, very comfy and homely, lovely refreshments including port and nuts, thick fluffy towels, spotless and comfortable bedding, two comfortable armchairs for reading. The location was very rural yet within easy reach of Romsey, WInchester, Portsmouth etc. Many thoughtful touches impressed, for example the room had not only the usual tea and coffee but fresh milk was in a fridge on the landing, there were great biscuits, port, nuts and other goodies!
