Cosa dice la gente
This is an excellent budget friendly hotel. Our room was large; very comfortable with arm chairs; and above all serviced throughout our stay. In bitterly cold weather the room remained very warm and cosy. There was hot water to be had from the bathroom facilities at all times. The food/drinks in the very friendly bar/lounge atmosphere was excellent. Why travel around looking for restaurants when 'Green Acre' is able to provide such fare. The room was ideal and we could park outside and bring our luggage in and out. Very warm and comfortable with a very good television. We had a very good meal that evening in the restaurant and an excellent breakfast in the morning. The staff could not be more helpful and replaced the light bulbs in the bedside lamps when I couldn't get them to work. Also the staff came and showed me how to lock the door when I couldn't do it.
Close to the M4 and not far from the beach at Porthcawl. The room was airy with plenty of space and it was spotlessly clean. Bedding and towels smelled really fresh. Breakfast was good and plenty of it. Staff all very friendly. I thought it was going to be noisy next to a pub but it wasn't and you could sleep with the window open. It may be different of a weekend though. Close to beautiful Kenfig nature reserve.
We arranged a late check-in so we didn't really see much of the place. The lady who seems to be running the business was very friendly and helpful. I think she may improve certain things as she gets more into coping with the increased business that is coming in now, but I will tell her myself what I feel needs to be addressed on our next visit.
Well presented rooms, comfy armchairs, bed and pillows. very clean, bathroom tiny bit tired, but overall pleased with room. Exceptional breakfast, lady serving very friendly, and meal in evening 2 for £10 was good.
We were a group of cyclist partaking in an event at Margam Park just 5 miles away. We had a great meal with friendly staff, and a good breakfast the day we left so all was good!
I'm sure we will visit again!.
The Restaurant and the breakfast. It was very nice to come down/up for breakfast and find a jug of milk at the table, instead of one jug for everyone. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very friendly staff and location was good for Wildlife Reserves, Beeches and Major Cities. The hotel is obviously at the heart of the local community and we really enjoyed the buzz.
Smart decor & furnishings
Cleanliness
Comfy bed and facilities
Good breakfast
Quiet position of bedrooms and overnight parking at back of building
Handy for M4 and Porthcawl.

Mike and all his staff were wonderful. Room was large and comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was bloody bonza! Would definitely stay again if in the area.
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, well-decorated rooms. Lovely breakfast. Good bar on the premises. Quiet and great for a good night's sleep.
Full cooked breakfast and dinning room staff very good. Also used the restaurant for evening dinner which again was good and value for money.

Nothing there was nothing to dislike....The very friendly management and staff took care of our needs more than adequately. We have stayed in the area before but never at 'Green-Acre'. In future 'Green Acre' will be our priority call.
brianb.
Can't think of anything.
Noisy extractor fan in bathroom and leaky tap was reported but not repaired. This did not ruin our stay though and we'd go again.
Nothing at all really. It's a good honest budget hotel.
Given upstairs room at end of corridor, when had asked if could have a room suitable for partially disabled person, and had to manage stairs to room as well as the stairs up to restaurant.
with windows open you could hear M4, but only in the background.
No real complaints just suggestions!
No hair dryer in bedroom?
Restaurant menu with prices in bedroom would have been useful.
The only complaint we have is that it was very hot in our room. The heating was on in the passageway outside our room which made the room very hot, even though it was warm outside.
Didn't need a doona on the bed as room was very warm.
Bathroom would benefit from a little bit of decorative attention and bathmats.
No fridge in room and during the warm weather the milk supplied for the tea and coffee went off. Also had now were to put any bottle water to keep it cold. The cleaner only emptied the bin and put out extra toilet paper on a daily basics, when you could clearly see the floor needed hovering. Our room needed some maintenance as the toilet door scraped on the floor tiles when opening. The shaving light did not work and the water flow which came from the shower was very poor.
TV not very good poor sound quality.
Bathroom could do with an update. Shower not very good, but adequate.
The wifi worked only in the bars, one of which being a sports bar was very noisy.
The bathroom was a mess with a broken shower bracket and no curtain or rail so taking a shower was not possible. When reported on three occasions to staff nothing was done and no concern shown.
I shall think hard before using the place again.
We were very upset at the end of our holiday to find out that we still needed to pay for our break, when we thought we had payed on booking two months earlier.
didnt get chance to have breakfast as did not start till 7.30am.
Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. Some of the lights didn't
work. Looked a bit "tired".
Shower had no pressure and water was cold.
Pub a little on the tired side but locals and staff great.
Just a couple of minor details really. e.g. Bulb missing from light socket.
could do with more staff on at busy times.
beds need renewing.
Nothing.
2nd room not very well furbished, dusty, cobwebs, broken toilet seat, bathroom door jammed, hot tap jammed. BUT before leaving pointed out problems. After arriving home got phone call from owner apologising, said she was not going to charge me. Brilliant service. Would stay again.
External appearance was off-putting at first, but the hotel part, around the back of the rather rough-looking pub, is more pleasant.
Room wall was too thin, we could hear next door, who were socialising with another couple until 4am, and unfortunately due to the
sleepless night we will not be returning to Green Acre Motel for this reason only.
Tired décor, worn facilities.
The out side. Needs a paint.
Bed too soft.Missing lights in room and dated decor.
On arrival the toilet had not been cleaned. The Noise of the Saturday night till midnight was unacceptable.
Shower, when put on flooded the bathroom floor, hotel was like a Travelodge with facilities and room.
Was promised help with tv and bedside light which needed a new bulb, but
this was not forthcoming.
The weather !!!!!.
nothing.
unable to have breakfast at weekend due to our early leaving and their late start (0800).
The room smelt horrible and the bathroom was so dirty that I left earlier than had expected to so that i could shower elsewhere. My own fault as I should have refused the room when allocated. cups and glasses in the room were dirty so had to boil kettle and sterilize before using. I will not be recommending to anyone and will not be staying again.
