  The B&B is situated on a quiet lane with wonderful countryside views, and a fabulous view of Blackcombe. When you walk into the house you are greeted by a lovely reception room with a log burner and comfy seats. The owners are very friendly, and make you feel very at ease. A lovely quirk was the swinging salon door on the - That list of words above is a bit inadequate. Can I add - Friendly. Quality. Excellent Food. Care. The Fold is a small extremely well run and beautifully designed guest house. Keven and Rachelle are excellent hosts. The rooms are well appointed and make very good use of space. I am 6'4" and stayed in the smallest room and ensuite shower was still big enough for me to bathe comfortably. There was also no footboard to the bed. (Why do hoteliers ever think a foot board is a good idea. It isn't -

  Very warmefull place - Really lovely place. Clean, warm room. Great breakfast served quickly. On street parking and a little tricky to see the sign on approach at night. Photograph doesn't do the place justice.   “good budget bed & breakfast and very dedicated owner.” Reviewed 6 August 2013 NEW We are a family of four and stayed at the Peel for 7 nights. The rooms were clean and freshly repainted and on the way to being upgraded with ensuite facilities, new flat screen tvs etc. David the manager was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help us.... cosa dice la gente » We don't have a car and he offered to take us to Bowness, 45 minutes away and take us back when we had enough, which he did. If there were any querie - I used this hotel for a single night stopover on my way to Keswick for a walking holiday. As such it fitted the bill completely, was comfortable, with good food, and pleasant, helpful staff. I would not hesitate to rebook.
