Could have been difficult to find if Paul hadn't been so kind as to send an email in advance with very clear directions.
Paul and Rosalind, even after just returning in the early hours from holiday themselves, were perfect hosts. Friendly, attentive and very helpful. Lovely people.
Modern design, carefully mixed with some more traditional furniture.
Stunning surroundings.
Everywhere very clean.
Breakfast was well cooked and a variety of choices of food. Tasty food to set the start of the day ri. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
The room was lovely and was more than just a bedroom with a sofa, coffee table and television.
The breakfast was great and beautifully cooked and served.
The location was great and in the middle of nowhere, perfect for joining the Taff Trail and walking around the area.
The owners were welcoming and full of useful advice for what to do and where to eat in the local area, even booking a table for us.
The location was ideal for walking which is what we came to Brecon
Beacons to do, It was right in the center of the National Park. The
premises was very well kept and quite charming. The room was large,
exceptionally well equipped and romantic with the stained glass windows.
For the money I couldn't ask for more. It was exactly what I was
looking for and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
It's was a short but absolutely amazing stay at one of the most
beautiful B&B's we've ever been to! Very romantic and
beautiful room in an old church. Very good homecooked breakfast and most
friendly an caring owners. The location is remote and stunning. It's
a 2 minutes walk from the big lake, there's lots of wildlife and no
light polution! Amazing for a romantic quiet honeymoon!.
The friendly manner in which we were greated. The room was spotlless clean, warm and homely atmospher. Breakfast was well presented and plenty of it. Would throughly recommend it as a retreat away from the hussle and bussle.
Also like how after the booking was confirmed an email arrive with instruction on how to get there. Just a great little spot with wonderful hosts.
Charming, comfortable, with wonderful hosts. The surrounding countryside and nearby villages were a delight to see. The town of Merthyr Tydfil itself was quite depressed but the intent of our visit was to see where our ancestors immigrated from and to hear a Welsh Men's choir. That was accomplished and was a real treat.
We were looking to "get away" and enjoy nature, this was definitely the spot. Lovely location in the middle of the park, just beautiful!
The house is so unique and cozy. We really felt welcome at the home and enjoyed the hosts and their breakfast. Definitely worth staying if you don't mind being in a remote place.
My wife and I liked almost everything of our staying: the location is superb, Paul and Ros have been very welcoming and the breakfast choice was very good.
Paul's recommendations for the waterfalls, Hay-on-Wye and the road through the Black Mountains helped us getting the best of our one day trip.
A lovely B&B with that special something! The hosts were very helpful and welcoming, and gave us some great tips regarding things to do and places to eat nearby. It's located really close to the Brecon Beacons, so this is the ideal place to stay if you're planning to do some hiking!.
Paul & Ros are fantastic hosts and made us feel as though we were
visiting friends. Breakfast in the morning was delicious with great
choices. For a peaceful break in the middle of the countryside you would
struggle to find better. We will be back on our next visit to Wales.
A peaceful B&B in a remote location in beautiful Brecon forest. Very clean and comfortable, with Paul and Ros being the perfect hosts. Lovely walks and drives nearby, some walks further afield for the more adventurous. We could not fault anything and would highly recomend.
Everything about this B and B was lovely from the house itself to the breakfast served. The staff was so kind and helpful and very friendly! We would definately stay there again and would recommend it to anyone traveling through or near the area. Beautiful location!.
Absolutely perfect location set right in the heart of the Brecons. The elegantly converted chapel is set right next to a magnificent lake in beautiful surroundings. Extremely friendly owners made our two night break perfect. Hope to see you again next year! Thank You!.
Ty Taf Fechan is a peacefull home with magnificent views to the forest, a very comfortable room and most importantly two lovely owners, Rosalind and Paul who make it feel like home away from home. Also just a five minute drive from the beautifull waterfalls!.
Everything. The owners are very friendly and know their area. So much better to stay in such lovely surroundings and be treated personally. 5 star bed and breakfast so much better than hotels. Very easy to find with sat nav - arrived 9 pm in pitch dark.
This B&B is absolutely beautiful in a remote location with some stunning scenery nearby and further afield. Paul and Ros were the perfect hosts and the room was clean and comfortable. Couldn't ask for anything better. Will recommend to everyone.
The owners were welcoming, very helpful, unintrusive and friendly. The setting is fantastic and the accomodation is spacious, extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was superb. Overall, a beautiful place for a relaxing break.
A reconstructed original old stone church building that makes a lovely b&b. Charming and very welcoming hosts and the perfect location to explore the amazing countryside of the Brecon Beacons.
Friendly, helpful and hospitable hosts. Breakfast second to none. Excellent facilities, unique location and environment a peaceful contrast with urban life. A place we will recommend to friends.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the property is in a perfect location & the owners made us feel very welcome.
The room was clean & everything is provided to ensure a comfortable stay.
We can't fault the quality of this accommodation, and if you're fit and experienced walkers, walking up Pen y Fan and right round the ridge is easily possible in a day right from the door.
The owners put themselves out to cater for our specific needs. They were very friendly and made us feel relaxed and welcome. Thank you for a lovely time we would definately come again.

Great attention to details by the owners, they ensure we had a wonderfully comfortable and warm stay during a very cold couple of days!.
Comfortable and clean. Beautiful building. Very friendly reception by the owners. Very secluded and quiet spot, wonderful views.

A great place to stay the whole experience was fabulous.
Very friendly and helpful hosts
Excellent breakfast.
Beautiful location and wonderful hosts.
Piece tranquility location value.
A very warm and friendly welcome.
No mirror close by a power point. Perhaps a full length mirror on the inside of the wardrobe door?
A couple of minor repairs needed dotted around. But I am now being picky because nothing to affect our stay.
WiFi connection was intermittent. However, this did force us to put away our mobile phones.
Nothing.
The approach from the A40 needs to be taken with much caution and best done in daylight hours. We found the approach to the A70 a far better road but I would still recommend you plan you arrival in daylight.
that we only stayed for 2 nights!.
The road is a bit tricky especially arriving when is already dark - my wife stopped talking during the last 15 minutes - well, sometimes this is not so bad :-).
But our GPS was perfect on driving us to our destination.
Everything was perfect.
that we could nt stay longer :( but will be going back soon.
Nothing. Everything was perfect.
There was nothing to dislike!.
Nothing.
Nothing.
The town of Merthyr Tydfil.
Nothing!.
1 hour walk to the nearest pub - but it's a nice walk.
Leaving!.
TV in the main lounge was very loud at night. However, we would have to say that when our bedroom door was closed, we could not hear anything.
Would have preferred en-suite but the private bathroom provided was very acceptable.
not having time to stay longer.
I have no criticisms.
Nothing. Only spent one night, would love to visit for longer.
