On check in, they mentioned the hostel was fully booked that night, so I was a bit nervous it would impact on comfort and sleep quality. Was happily proved wrong, yes, it was busy, but I didn't have to queue for toilets/showers at any time, and breakfast was fine, with plenty of free space at the tables. I only stayed here for one night, but was really impressed by the value for money and what the lodge provided! I only paid 14 pounds to stay in a mixed 18 bed dorm, which I was very unfortunate in that there were not a lot of guests occupying the room and were all very quiet. The room was very large and the decor of the whole lodge was so cute! Very british and quaint. The equipment is amazing (other than the very small kitchen),
particularly the room (I was in a 4-bed) displayed a very high standard.
The breakfast was decent (no fruit anymore though, as visitors had
stated in previous reviews). Wifi at the ground floor and nice ares to
sit, relax or even work. The location is certainly not central, but
Oxford street is 20 mins away and the Jubilee Line will drop you off at
St. Paul's or Buckingham Palace in not much more time. If you want a

For a small hotel the facilities were excellent. I just wanted somewhere for the night to rest after visiting some of London's attractions with my young daughters. A lovely cosy hotel in the best location: 5 min walk from Paddington railway station, 10 min walk from Hyde Park. Excellent host, polite and friendly. Excellent cooked breakfast. Small but very clean rooms. Free Wifi.
