  We stayed at the hotel for my husband's 50th birthday. He is keen on trains so I requested, and got, a room overlooking the station. He was in his element. We arrived at 1pm and went in to drop our bags off but the staff were able to check us into our room which was a bonus. This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Spa area is nice ...we swam early in the morning and had the pool to ourselves...but it IS small! Breakfast was included in our stay and it was fab!   We stayed in a small, but clean and nice room on the top floor for 5 nights. Top floor means 50 steps, no lift, in quite a narrow staircase. No problem for us, but good to know if you have difficulties with walking in stairs, or have heavy luggage. The bathroom was also very small, but clean and fresh. TV, hairdryer and a kettle in the room, teabags and coffe. Break - Very nice family-run accomodation (friendly owners had 2 cute kids) with great English breakfast (or if you like, a Continental one). While its just a stone's throw from King's Cross / St Pancras station, it is located in a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the station and main roads. Our quadruple room came with attached shower and toilet which was very clean.

With only a small room on its own - even with an excellent bathroom - I would have found it too small for C21st expectations. The staff were very helpful and friendly! Highly recommend the breakfast (main reason we always book a Premier Inn :) ), we also had dinner on the first night which was very good value for money! Will definitely come back here to stay next time we are in London which hopefully won't be too long away as we never got the chance to see everything we wanted!
