Offering homemade bread, jams and marmalade, this former Victorian infirmary is set high on the hillside above the Monmouth and Brecon canal. You can go walking, horse riding, hang-gliding, fishing and exploring caves all within a 10-mile radius. Ty Croeso Boutique B&B serves a range of breakfast options in the morning, including full English, full Welsh, and vegetarian breakfast. You can also enjoy Fairtrade tea and coffee, along with orange juice and local organic apple juice. With views of the nearby mountains, rooms are traditionally furnished and come with satellite TV. Each also benefits from tea and coffee making facilities. Ty Croeso is half a mile from the charming town of Crickhowell in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Tretower Castle and Court is less than 10 minutes’ drive away.

The room wasn’t very large, but quite enough, and comfortable. Our room had a great view of the valley. The bathroom was large and well-decorated (looked newly renovated, or at least very well maintained) with very high ceiling, giving a lovely feeling of space. There’s a large guest lounge downstairs, which seems nice to relax in. The owners were kind and caring, and we felt welcome. The B&B is up the hillside, some 10 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) from the town, but up a steep gradient .

Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome at all times during our stay. We wish we'd had a few more nights to stay and would definately go back. The location is incredible and the actual building is great. It located by a very nice canal with stunning views of the mountains. They were really good to us when we told them I just proposed to my girlfriend! One word - "Perfect". - Very hospitable owners with good homemade breakfasts and willing to help out with almost everything. - Large library/living room available - Homely atmosphere. - Nice views on the village, river and mountains. Alex and Cory gave us a warm welcome, lovely lounge area/breakfast room. The house has been decorated to a high standard and breakfast was excellent. Would definately recommend this B&B. Very friendly and helpful owners. Lent us books and gave us lifts into the village. Breakfast when you like, and a nice big living room with fireplace to relax in after a day of walking. It was everything it claimed to be. The lounge was a beautifully designed restful place. The bedroom was clean and very comfortable. Very welcoming hosts but discrete. Friendly couple who own the Ty Croeso made us feel very welcome. Warm, friendly atmosphere, spotless and a 'home from home' experience. Couldn't see the wonderful views unless you stood up. Nothing. A little hard to find by car. Not much at all. nothing not to like. Poor bathroom compared to rest of accommodation. Nothing. Very small room. A bit overpriced for a signle occupancy accommodation Small room No wardrobe. room was big but very user unfriendly.
