Carol and Bob were the loveliest couple who were exceptionally helpful and friendly. They made us feel like welcome friends in a non-intrusive way. They were full of information and helpful local knowledge. The room was nice and after being in London and some other cities it was lovely to be in a place that had a lovely view from every window. Spacious room, comfortable beds, excellent tasty breakfast, nice helpful hosts.
The town center is few minutes walk from the B&B where we had pleasant dinner. It was one of the best stays during our week sent traveling around Scotland. If you travel by car and visit Stirling castle, we recommend The Knowe Guest House to stay before or after.

Everything was great from the beginning when we found ourselves in the
hall till friendly good-bye. We loved the breakfast with haggis, real
feast in the morning! There is a warm, homely atmosphere in the house

The hotel was very interesting and had a real antique look about it. The bedrooms were well appointed with ;nice soaps towels etc... they even provided Sherry in the room...lovely. The turndown service a night was a nice surprise.
We loved also discovering all the different nooks and crannies of the public rooms.
Delightful real fires in all public rooms including the dining room give a real country house feel.

Room was lovely, beds very comfy, full English breakfast cooked really well including choice of haggis or black pudding. Staff/proprietors very friendly. Parking in guest house grounds was a definite plus. Enjoyed our one night stay very much. We were made very welcome along with our dog. Would definitely return. -
