The Fox is a 15th-century inn, around 5 minutes’ walk from the centre of Bury St Edmunds. It offers a high standard of bed and breakfast accommodation alongside its popular restaurant and bar with pretty terrace beer garden.

The rooms were furnished with quality furniture and the decoration was of a high standard. The bed was very comfortable and the bed linen and towels were brilliant white and very good quality. Overall the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant clean and the meals we had were very nice.
The Staff made us feel so welcome there and nothing was too much bother.
The food was very good and excellent value.
The room was extremely comfortable and well furnished.
The Hotel is so close to the main shopping area, very convenient.

The accomodation was clean/comfortable and decor was top notch; staff were friendly & helpful throughout our stay. Food was well cooked & presented (we had lunch & breakfast). Fellow customers also appeared to be having a good experience. Definately plan to stay here again.
Everything...it was so comfortable and welcoming but private too. The location was ideal for me and I'm planning a return trip next winter. The room was so imaginatively planned and designed; it gave me ideas for my own house.
Very spacious room & en-suite wet room which was lovely & clean. Great location with park across the road and a short walk into the main town. Good choices of breakfast. Would definitely recommend.
The fox is very well located the staff were extremely helpful nothing too much trouble . The room was excellent it is so much more than a pub with rooms ! Would definately stay again.

Room could have been warmer but wasn't able to change temperature. Room had tea & coffee facilities but could have done with bottled water instead we had to use water from the bathroom tap!.

We wanted to book a table for a meal about 5pm but we're told that they had stopped orders so there was food for the evening but we couldn't book a table as the girl said she thought they were quite busy, so we spent our money elsewhere!.

Have stayed many times at the Fox but this was the first in room 1.
disturbed sleep through the night due to the noise from the kitchen extraction fan from pub and maybe another one as well. will stay again but not in room 1.

The food was just average pub grub. The reviews said the food was very good. We did not find this.our evening meal was just ok.
