Overlooking Bradford Bay, this luxury 4-star hotel is situated in the village of Broadford on the Isle of Skye. Established in 1611, Broadford Hotel is the original home of Drambuie whiskey liqueur. With free Wi-Fi, each room’s theme is based on one of the many Drambuie tartans. Flat-screen TV and en suite facilities come as standard in every room. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided. The Spinnaker Restaurant boasts a superb view over Broadford Bay and serves fine cuisine including the local seafood. Guests can enjoy the house speciality, a Drambuie served long with soda and fresh lime on the bar’s leather sofas or outside on the terrace.

The broadford hotel has recently undergone renovations.our twin bed room was large and comfortable. It had a separate "lounge/seating" area with 2 comfy chairs and tv. The bathroom was huge and included a separate bath and shower. An extremely generous breakfast with both cold/hot options was included in the tariff. We also ate in both the restaurant and bar and the food in both areas was delicious.

Breakfast has several choices and we love the poach smoked Haddock with poached egg. The room is spacious. Wifi is quite fast. An excellent hotel.It is a pity that there are few hotels in the highlands that are as good as this one.Staff were all very helpful and friendly,Room excellent.Food good ,but menu rather restricted.Bad news about administration. Everything about this hotel is lovely. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was beautiful and comfortable, the food was great, and the location was perfect. It was close to the Skye Bridge and very picturesque. Had a lovely stay, the room was beautiful and the views from the room were perfect, staff were friendly, all in all a very very good way to spend a night, just wish it could have been two!! The Room was big and comfy. room is good,. location. there were a couple of holes about due to doors and window being open too harshly but nothing too bad. Food in the bar was ok but not as good as the restaurant Bar staff were OK. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed about the fact that we did not find any warm water at 6.30am. Hotel staff advised us to open tap water and wait for 10 minutes. In actual fact hot water was available after 30 minutes! It seems like the water system is quite old and we were the first ones to use warm water for the day thus solving this problem to the other residents in the hotel. There was nothing to dislike. There was nothing to dislike about the hotel. Nothing. Was unlucky enough to be first person drawing hot water and as it says in the information pack you have to let it run for a long time. Why not have this as something staff do first thing?. Sat-nav took me to Mallaig for ferry crossing (no ferries running at this time!)when I wanted to go via the Skye Bridge which added 2.5 hours onto length of my journey. I should have checked the route but was informed that many people have had the same experience. The view from our room was a parking lot. The bed was very hard. The banana pancakes for breakfast was lovely, but could have been twice the size it was. Being an old hotel of several stories it was quite noisy. Lobby surprisingly soulless and dark. You need to be a contortionist to use the toilet in the bathroom. Chair cramped room space, door at top of stairs can be a bit dangerous - I almost fell down stairs. diningroom closed for dinner as out of season. Some bistro food only moderate. Nothing. Some meals in the bistro only moderate but the bar meals were good. Menu ordinary, slightly dated atmosphere. door opening outwards at the top of the staircase onto first floor. None. One switch in bedroom turned all the main lights on. So if my wife was in bed and I was in the TV area I had to leave the lights off. A simple table lamp would solve the problem. Value for money was not good. Did not accept credit cards. We had not been told the restaurant was closed for the winter. Having to haul luggage upstairs. Hard Pillows. no hot water only slightly warm. Nothing. The carpets in the room were a little bit dirty so that turned us off a little bit, but overall was a great stay. The dinner I'm afraid lets this place down , over cooked and quite tasteless. The breakfast on the other hand I couldn't fault lots of choice, i even tried prunes! Found it hard to understand the Spanish waitress though. The room we had was directly above the bar so very noisy until 2a.m !. A bit pricey given there was no view for what one paid for . Room was small. Food quality variable and menu rather limited and ordinary. Overall, it did not live up to our expectations and we felt it was not good value for money. Being an early riser is not an option here if you want a hot shower, the hot water doesn`t come on till 7am which is rather annoying for a 4 star hotel. Missing the focus to make this enjoyable - no kettle in room, no early breakfast on Saturdays, hot water not available for shower/bath in morning, beds hard, pillows too foamy. Room was very small for the price paid. Hotel unable to process card payments. Room was rather noises due to outside fans presumably for the kitchen. The Lounge and Restaurant are dark and need a remodeling. damp smell in hallway and stairwell.expensive for what you get.
