Situated within Snowdonia National Park, Dolgethin Guest House is a 150-year-old Victorian property which has been refurbished with modern amenities, such as free Wi-Fi and a guest lounge with TV & DVD player. Free private parking is available at the rear of the property.
Go Below Underground Adventures are a 5-minute drive away, and offer visitors the opportunity to traverse over an abyss, scale a waterfall or abseil down the deepest point in Snowdonia - all within abandoned mines. The Welsh Mountain Zoo is set high above Colwyn Bay and can be reached in 30 minutes by car. Many rare and endangered species can be seen at the zoo, which also features scenic gardens.
Rooms at Dolgethin have views of either the River Llugwy or the garden and forest. A TV is also included.
A full cooked breakfast is served in the dining room, and continental options are also available. Restaurants serving traditional Welsh cuisine can be found within a 10-minute walk, as well as those offering international dishes.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. (We could use the fridge, storage room, garage for the bikes, ...)
Rooms were comfortable and quiet with a very nice view on the surrounding woods.
Breakfast was a delight.
The village of Betws-y-Coed is very nice with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities.
We are coming back for sure.

The welcoming atmosphere, Ruth, the owner was lovely. The room was comfortable, spacious and quiet with great views of the river. Location was great and Ruth gave us some great tips on where to eat. Had a great stay and will definitely return.
Location, very friendly staff and a top breakfast. Arrived on a motorcycle and the parking was very good , off road and pretty secure. Able to leave my bike kit at the B&B whilst off walking for the day. Great stuff !.
Ruth was very friendly, the breakfasts were excellent with Ruth's homemade jams. The rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable with all you would need. It is a nice quiet location, just outside of the town.
Only overnight - but made very welcome by owner and 'Ebony'. Breakfast great - lots of home made jams. House is interesting and in super setting. Thank you very much for our stay - would recommend to others.

Room was furnished in the owners style - quite old but elegant. Only 1 channel on very old TV. Very clean - good onsuite facilty. Superb full Welsh/English breakfast. Staff friendly & attentive.

We can honestly say that there was nothing that we did not like about our stay.
Old TV. Also, a lttle worryingly, there was no one home when I arrived. There was only a voicemail message when I rang the telephone number so perhaps a mobile phone would make the owner more contactable as I had to wait outside 15 minutes for the owner to arrive after taking her dog for a walk.
