We had booked a twin-bedded room, but as none were available the hotel gave us two adjacent double rooms for the agreed price of the twin-bedded room - very generous. The rooms were very pleasant, the staff were very helpful and the food at dinner was excellent. The hotel is very close to the Hawk Conservancy Trust that we were visiting. I would recommend the hotel to anyone. The staff were great and very attentive. Food choice was excellent if a little pricey on some items. Rooms were decorated to a high standard with very comfy beds. Great access to the A303 made it an ideal location for Thruxton Motor Circuit. Would definitely stay again.

Altogether nice 'Country Inn' atmosphere, very good service! In a quiet village close to The Hawk Consevancy Trust An excellent choice all round!. From the start of our break to the end the staff were very good, the room was a little smaller than i thought but very well furnished, the bathroom was very good, food and drink was very good a very pleasent break. Staff were great, very helpful. Quality of food was also very good. Room was very comfortable, perfect location in terms of an overnight stop convenient to A303. The staff and the friendly atmosphere. The Hawk is dog friendly and while I did not have a dog with me this is always a very big plus in my eyes. The location is very peaceful in a nice village and the staff are really helpful. The rooms are well furnished and clean. Food is excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. However, because there was a suite free, this was made up for us very quickly so we were able to settle in. Very warm on my visit so lighter quilt and sheets would have been good. Fan in room but very noisy so couldnt be left on. nothing. Leaving!. Not much!. Nothing. Our room was a bit noisy ( next to the plant room). We did not realize that cooked breakfast was extra, but did not ask either. Breakfast not served until 8:30am. Too late! Directions not helpful. The price of the cooked breakfast. Nothing. I'm afraid the bed was far to soft The room was very warm so opened the window only to here a fan going all night What a shame!. A long length mirror on the spare wall adj door, perfect spot to make a feature, only three coat hangers in the wardrobe, no coat stand or coat hooks for outdoor coats!! I know its unfortunate but we were above the bar, so very noisy to closing time but we did understand, maybe better sound proofing under the floor!!!. Noisy room in the evening due to the bar/restaurant, though the noise stopped around 23:30. The breakfast is extremely poor given the not so cheap room charge. They should reconsider this and add some cheese, ham, ...
