The room was quirky inasmuch that it was on two levels with a beautiful refurbished bathroom, a dressing table area and wardrobe, then up four stairs to the bedroom and sitting area. The Wateredge Inn is in a wonderful location right on the lake. The
views out to the boats bobbing on the lake were lovely. The room was
nicely decorated and comfortable as was the bathroom. The inns lounge
and dining areas were very nice, with again a beautiful outlook. The two
Scottish sisters who waited on us for breakfast were lovely and friendly
as was Ryan the bar man. The countryside around Ambleside was really
beautiful and well worth a longer visit.

The hotel is fantastic. The room was fab and the service by the staff was outstanding. As soon as you arrive you get a friendly face welcoming you and they are so helpful. The room was excellent with all facilities. A complimentary glass of mulled wine and mince pies on arrival was much appreciated. Very warm and friendly welcome, lovely room, bathroom and excellent breakfast with many choices that are not usually offered. - Brantfell House was excellent, great hosts, great service, 5 Star room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The breakfast was excellent and the waiter service first class. We found all staff very helpful and there to make our stay enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly be visiting again very soon.

Everything! The staff were wonderful and the food excellent. - Felt more like a 4* plus hotel, not a 3. Nice details like great towels and fresh milk available for in-room coffee. Quality decor in room, nice bathroom too. Very convenient to town without being in it.

pampered. Fabulous bed. Huge bathroom with the best shower in Britain.
Dinner was delicious. Lots of soft armchairs to relax in before dinner.
You could open the windows and adjust the heating (to dry clothes in the

the hotel information booklet was excellent giving far more information than many hotels in large chains.All the staff were very pleasant and obliging-nothing was too much trouble. - The proximity to the town and shops were super. The car park was on site and the staff were pleasant and always available if needed but did not pressure us in any way.

Very clean comfortable room and bed, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. We would recommend this BnB to anyone visiting the Windermere Lake. Just a short stroll into the town of Ambleside and 1 mile to the Lake.
