Breakfast included smoked salmon and many other options. Quiet location in a very pretty setting, really excellent staff who were very helpful. Beds were incredibly comfortable and we got a lot of sleep. Lovely pool and spa area. -

Fabulous hotel. Staff were great, everybody was friendly and polite and went out of their way. Location is super, 2 minutes walk from haymarket station and 15 walk into Edinburgh city centre. Buses stopped outside the hotel to go to Princes street if you didn't fancy the walk. Food was good, we had breakfast and was lovely with lots to choose from. Didn't eat there otherwise but saw the food and it looked very nice. Rooms and beds clean and comfy. Great hotel.

We stayed in the McDonald Bath spa hotel so we knew we were going to enjoy our stay. The staff can't do enough for you, opens doors always ask if your ok and if there's anything they can do for us. Love ricks. Stayed many times before with the girls and hubby. Fab Cocktails and breakfast. The only minor grumble this time was the lack of lighting in our bedroom. The hotel is located above the Rick's bar and restaurant. However, the noises won't reach the rooms. The room is a bit compact but cosy enough. There are a wide range of drinks that could be chosen in the minibar of the room. And breakfast could also be ordered from the restaurant below. The location is good which is not far from the castle.

The breakfast was very tasty with lots of choice. Everything was served to your table which was nice but I actually prefer a buffet where you can choose what you want as you eat. Because everything here was served, you had to order your drink, cold starter and hot breakfast all at the same time. The staff were extremely friendly and professional.
