Excellent value for money. (An added bonus was its location alongside the grammar school I attended 1943-48 which I hadn't seen since then!) - We were attending a local wedding and all the staff were very helpful providing directions and information regarding the venue.

Excellent service by the hotel staff. They were all very friendly and attentive. The hotel is the city centre so an excellent location. The room was nicely decorated with a flat screen tv and free wireless internet. - The room was excellent value for money, very spacious and the bed was very comfortable

We were in a hurry when we arrived as we were en route to a funeral. We were able to go into our room at 12.30 and sandwiches were brought promptly when ordered. It was within easy-access of the M1, but was set within a quiet village. It was comfortable and clean and the owners were friendly and polite. Excellent breakfast. The owners recommended the pub next door to eat, where the food was good and the staff friendly and helpful. -

Very good value for money. - I always read reviews before booking, and I had a most enjoyable stay at a really friendly and quirky hotel, where the staff I met and dealt with were helpful, and very eager too please. I found it strange that previous reviews complained about there being no lift, and that their rooms were some way from reception - well it states that on the information page on this really interesting hotel.

This was the second time we have stayed here in the past 4 months. IIt is a comfortable hotel with a great location. It is very clean and suited our needs for another weekend away. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially the lady on reception (whose name escapes me, sorry!) (I remember it was the same name as a celebrity though!) - Fantasti
