Cosa dice la gente
We stayed from 5 days, Oct 16-21. Food is really really good &
prices are good! If you compare with other places in Unawatuna. We ate
mostly in the hotel after trying some other places recommended by some
books that were not big thing....
The location is good and is one of the few hotels with swimming pool. The walk to the beach is not 2 to 5 min as said by other travellers, is around 10min, is not a big distance but just be careful as people drive crazy, there are cute small shops where . tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
The staff were great, very friendly and very helpful. The Sri Lankan breakfast was yum, and the Sri Lankan dinner was divine (both need to be requested in advance but well worth it!) Lovely landscaped gardens and greenery. A short stroll or tuk tuk ride to the beach, with plenty of stalls, bars, cafes and restaurants on the way.
Great breakfasts with tropical fruit and eggs any which way. Nice pool
and it was pleasant to stay in a ground floor "cabana" with
its own little garden. Also Unawatuna is the kind of faraway beach
resort you dream of. We ate one superb evening meal in the hotel's
restaurant. Mmmmm! And good value for such quality.
The room was excellent and the best we stayed at in Sri Lanka, the staff
friendly and helpful, the swimming pool was big and clean and the
restaurant food first class.
Very quiet hotel, just a little outside the main road, couple hundred meters from the beach. Staff very friendly. Excellent food at the restaurant.
Hospitality of the staff
3 pets who would welcome you any time of the hour
close access to the beach
friendly atmosphere

The Dinner & Room.
Value for money.
Room and Pool.
Restaurant food was a good blend of Western and Sri Lankan, and reasonably priced. Location was good, back from the noisier beachfront but handy for the shops and eateries. Loved the dogs.
Location was good.
Pool was nice and the food was good.
Just a walking distance from Unawatuna beach. Good breakfast. Good bed.
We felt that the pictures look a little different than the room itself,
furniture is not that new and if you are picky some small details that
they could fix, not big deal.
There is no water pressure in the shower and the AC was not working properly (at least our bungalow had those small things).
Unfortunately construction going on next door which was a bit distracting. A bit cramped and lacking sun around the pool at times.
Mix up over rooms at first - they tried to put us in an apartment up a
fire escape - not the "deluxe cabana" I had specifically
booked. Also mix up over first lunch bill - they tried to overcharge us
and it took three complaints before they got it right. Also there was no
tv in our cabana until I complained about this.
Prices could be re worked upon
More variety for break fast would be cherry on cake.
Liked everything.
Reception service could have provided more info on local activities etc.
Nothing really --nice hotel would go there again.
all OK.
A dog is always there which is unhygienic.
Car Parking.
Found a bug on the bed. The rest were satisfied.
Room had a poor bathroom, for the price, with a shower that drained the wrong way. Lighting was abysmal. Old-fashioned bolts instead of door handles was clunky and noisy, especially at night. One or two improvements would make it ideal.
Room was very dark - pool very small, and next to the restaurant.
A water problem meant that the cold water in our room actually came out
boiling hot scalding us - thankfully we weren't having a full shower
at the time. The staff didn't seem to fussed about it but did move
us to a different room where the cold water was cold. Upon leaving, the
staff tried to organise a tuk tuk that was twice the price it should be.
The Cabanas were old and need refurbishing. Th shower drain did not work so after the shower the bathroom was flooded.
