  Our room was clean and comfortable.(appeared to be recently re-furbished); the view was towards the sea plus the mountains further down the coast. The owner Ramon was very friendly and helpful. There was off road parking for our hire car. The length of time breakfast was available meant we didn't have to rush our start to the day; there was plen... cosa dice la gente » ty to eat and drink plus more if we had wanted it. We hope to return and stay longer next time. - This hostal is first rate. Spotlessly clean, nice modern decor and excellent service. We paid extra for a sea view but was well worth it. Memory foam mattress, toiletries provided, clean towels daily the only thing that it didnt have was tea and coffee making facilities but in spain we know this to be normal but not a problem to us as took our own. Not surprised this is number one on trip advisor.

  We booked this Hostal as overspill accommodation close to a family holiday home in Mojacar, and will definitely do so again. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, above a row of café/bars with a balcony facing across the street to the beach. This mainly consisted of the sound of locals discussing the issues of the day while playing dominoes on the terrace - Room size was very spacious. Beds were very comfortable and a generous size. Tea and coffee making facilities supplied. View over the Med was glorious. Hot water on demand. A/c if needed and heating if needed. Very convenient to all amenities - beach, shops, restaurants and bars. I thought the facilities at Hostel Virgin Del Mar were better than the Hotel where we stayed last year.

  very friendly staff, made you feel very welcome. One of the cleanest hotels i have stayed in. Room had no wardrobe but quite a fair size, tv on wall also air con and was on-suite water pressure was very good. Located across the road was a nice beach. Forget about the 1 star rating its family run and the more stars you get the more taxes you pay - tha - this hotel is situated on a quiet spot near to the bus in an ideal spot to access Mojacar old town. The staff here are very unassuming but very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are basic but apart from a hair drier they have everything needed. They are extremely clean and bright and quiet. In our opinion this hotel offered us a very good deal. Excellent value for money and would definitely recommend. Try La Cava restaurant on the sea front for a special meal, the quality of food is excellent.
