  Although the hostel have simple furniture and no breakfast, we still feel comfortable to stay in this hostel since good values of the price. The location is right in the city center, and it has lots of restaurants, stores and attractions. All the distances you can reach just by walking. He speaks English with a Spanish accent, a little bit diffic - I've stayed at many hostels all around Spain by now, about 4 of them in Madrid alone, and this was by far one of THE best service we've ever had. Super clean. The price for the location is unbeatable. The Wifi was great. Outstanding service by attendant who assisted us. At one point I forgot my cell phone on the couch in the little lobby and he picked it up and left in our room with a note. How he knew it was ours, no idea. (Maybe process of elimination.) But so glad he did! Will definitely go

  The location was very central 5 minute walk from Gran Via. Rooms were on the 2nd floor of this beautiful old building. Very safe location, well lit area! The hostel tht you have to collect the key is 2 minutes walk. Beds big and comfortable, bathroom very clean and shower was string and warm! And the free WIFI was brilliant.   E' un ostello ottimo per la sua posizione,per la pulizia,per il comfort nelle camere...l'unica pecca è che non c'è l'ascensore ed io e i miei amici ci siamo dovuti fare 84 scalini ogni volta per arrivare alla nostra camera...per il resto è tutto ok... - La centralità, il silenzio e la pulizia.

  Hostal Mendoza is located in perfect place: next to the central street of Madrid - Gran Via and Puerta del Sol, where you can take the tourist- bus and travel all over the city. Our double-room on the second flour was always clean, the furniture and bathroom (with all the accessories) were new, we had even flat TV-set and the balcony. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to do everything to make our stay perfect. Was concerned a "hostal" might not be up to scratch but it was like any other 3 star accommodation. Room was large with fairly new ensuite and very comfy beds. There was nothing we didn't like and would definitely stay again.
