  The hostel is clean and comfortable, pleasantly decorated in neutral colours and woooden floorboards-there are also some interesting old (19th century?) large black and white photographs on the walls.   We have spent 2 months backpacking. We have stayed in albergues, campgrounds, monasteries,pensions and hotels and HOTEL CHOMIN has been our favourite! It isnt 4 star impersonal luxury....it is unpretentious, comfortable, quiet, near the beach and a lovely 15 min promenade walk to the city. Nowhere else have we come down to breakfast to hear peals of laughter as the host chats away to his guests..in English . He welcomed us as if we - the staff very friendly and helpful. reserved place available in the street next to the hotel for free - that is not easy to park in San Sebastian. bus stop 1 min from the hotel Great restaurant!!!
