  The Staff was really friendly and helpful. The size of the room was great for me and just enough for two. wifi is in the room. Great price in an excellent location; it was very easy to find everything and the staff gave me a map and explained a bit about where I was.   Hostal Veracruz is very nice and has clean rooms with AC and own bathrooms. It is very close to Sol, so really in very center of Madrid and Spain. Everything is in walking distance or else the metro and cercanias are near by (at Sol). You are in the thick of the nightlife of Madrid and of the shopping center.   I didn't stay at the hotel that much as I spend most of my time outside. But what I can definitely say that the location is perfect and very very easy to reach (Sol Metro station), the room is very clean, big enough for 2 persons with an AC, which makes it comfortable. The room had been newly renovated and was kept extremely clean. There were two sets of double paned windows to keep out the street noise. The Museo del Jamon was right next to the hotel and is a great place to get breakfast, lunch, snacks, coffee or beer/wine. We would definitely return.

  Location was perfect. 5 minutes walk from the Grand Via Metro. Reception 24hrs. Maria (the host) was very friendly and helpful. I felt like being at home rather then a privat mini hotel (especially after four days). The rooms were cleaned every day which includes fresh towels (to my very own surpise). The area were the hostel is located is terrific. My compliments to the sweet staff.

  location is more than perfect in the middle of the very live street in Madrid. you can just go down and you will see people still going walking everywhere even at 2:00pm. Staff were friendly and you can leave your luggage there after checking out.
