We were 2 women travelling alone, and had no problem walking in this area late at night. The rooms are modern, clean, and lovely.   Location is great, near Urgell metro station. Staff is great too, very kind owner and his assistent, they helped us a lot with advice and ideas for evening activities in Barcelona, and talked a lot with us which was great for improving our spanish. The breakfast is nice and you still can have all breakfast food through all day, also the kitchen is available if you want to cook some food for the dinner.   I felt very comfortable during my two days at Julian's. I just needed a bed and a shower so I booked the single room. Small but nice. Everything was new and clean. The metro station is right outside the door so you can get very quickly to the city center. And remember no matter where in Barcelona, ​​the apartments have thin walls so that it can be a bit noisy. Overall, a great place - I stayed at 'Julian's rooms' during my four-day visit in Barcelona. This B&B is an excellent value for money with it's convenient location, lovely and spotless rooms with clean and comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, perfectly clean bathrooms and reliable, high speed Internet access. 5 min walk away from Metro line #1, 3-4 stops from the centre of Barcelona. You could not wish for a friendlier, more attentive, more professional host than Julian.
