  We enjoyed our stay in Madrid! The room was very nice, clean and decorated with a lot of love. It was in the city center and all sights are in walking distance. The personal was very friendly and warm-hearted. We felt welcome and would recommend the hostal. :-) - Everything was excellent!   The hostel is located in the city centre, 2 minutes from the metro Opera, the Palacio Real, 5 minutes walk to the Gran via, and 15 to the Prado Museum. Near many cafes and bars where you can eat and drink. We had a room with three beds, air conditioning, safety Deposit box (1 euro), tv, free wi-fi. The room was small but clean. Cleaned the room every day, but towels for three days is not ch - Location was great - in the historic city centre, you can enjoy a walk to many places of interest. Opera metro station is just 1 minute from hostel. 24 hours supermarket is almost next door. My window was on pedestrian street Arenal, where people are walking all night long, but it wasn't noisy, I easily fell asleep (with closed window). Very safe district of Madrid. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I checked in at night and man didn't speak english, but it was ok for checking in, showing my

  We spent just one night at the Hostal Macarena, when passing Madrid on our way back from holiday. It's a lovely place in the heart of Madrid (Plaza Mayor is just behind the corner!), surrounded by many bars, restaurants and little stores. The room is quite small, but well equipped and clean. Staff doesn't speak very good English, but is very nice.... cosa dice la gente » I'd recommend this place especially for young people - as it's situated in the very city centre, everybody's partying and so it's quite noisy till la - Location, location, location! Two steps from the plaza Mayor and many other attractions, located on a little street with animation. Staff is courteous and helpful. They kept our luggage all day so we could walk around freely untill we left to take the train. Room was clean, confortable and big enough. Very good quality for the price. I recommend this hotel wihtout any hesitation.

  The personal it´s very kind and friendly, and they were always very helpful, specially the owner of the hotel. He always very willing to help and advise me to move more easily around the city. The hotel's location is excellent, just 3 minutes walk from the metro station Sol and just 1 min. Walk from metro Opera. Rooms were small but cosy, and with plenty of space to put your luggage/stuff, big tables (if you want to use your laptop etc), minifridge.   This hostel is a family owned small hotel. But they hire 2 employees who cam speak good english, and very kind and helpful to guest. The location of the hotel is great. In walking distance to most sightseing place. And very near by to metro. And nearby the hotel, there is a good restaurant, serving from breakfirst to dinner. But is close to Metro and lots of eating places. The staff we're good, the lady sold us tix to tourist bus at seniors rates. Room was very small but comfortable. No ac but they gave us a fan. You could open french doors to street but very noisy, even at 2:00am
