Really nice hotel. Location is exactly what is mentioned in all other reviews. The girls from reception - Maria and Elena -were very hospitable and friendly and both deserve a certain salary increase. Rooms are not much specious but always clean and tidy. We spent just one night at the Hostal Macarena, when passing Madrid on our way back from holiday. It's a lovely place in the heart of Madrid (Plaza Mayor is just behind the corner!), surrounded by many bars, restaurants and little stores. The room is quite small, but well equipped and clean. Staff doesn't speak very good English, but is very nice.

Location, location, location! Two steps from the plaza Mayor and many other attractions, located on a little street with animation. Staff is courteous and helpful. They kept our luggage all day so we could walk around freely untill we left to take the train. Room was clean, confortable and big enough. Very good quality for the price. I recommend this hotel wihtout any hesitation.

The biggest bonus of this little family-run place is its unrivalled location facing the Royal palace. Staff are very responsive and punctual and the place has the charm of a 18th century building.

it was a very nice surprise my visit to this hotel. i couldnt expect to be so good for such a low cost hotel. very clean, enough space in the room. i definetely recommend it as a value for money hotel. the location was 5 minutes walk from puerta de sol the most central point of Madrid. -

Everything! The staff were very nice and helpful, especially Ioana:) She hepled me a lot. I even got a gift from the hotel! So sweet! The hotel is located in the heart of city center, walking distance to shops, restaurants, bus stops etc. Rooms are not big but very comfortable, I got a balcony with my room. It was an amazing hostel. The centric location, it is connected to all public transportations. The best thing is all the beautiful spots can be visited by walking. All my basic needs were catered. The room is clean with comfortable bed. The staffs are willing to extend there help. I really appreciate the kindness and the excellent service you have extended guys! I will definitely recommend to my friends and family member. Hope to see you next year!

ottima la posizione dell'hotel ed il rapporto qualità-prezzo..le stanze sono un pò piccole cosi come i bagni (dipende anche dalla stanza che capita)..l'esterno potrebbe un pò preoccupare appena arrivati, ma all'interno è tutta un'altra storia!! pulizia delle camere e cambio delle lenzuola effettuato ogni giorno! nel complesso giudizio positivo -

è davvero un ottimo hotel....va sicuramente consigliato! staff cordiale, posizione ideale, e camere perfettamente pulite...anche se un po piccole, ma non credo sia un dramma per brevi soggiorni. - posizione ottima centralissima a 100 m dalla metro, ottima pulizia e disponibilità da parte della reception camere silenziose... ci ritornerei.

Friendly reception just no english so a translation app will come in handy. Right in the middle off the city centre. A lot of sightseeing can be done on foot.
