Breakfast (served until 11.30am) was an enormously varied buffet, with cold meats and cheese, cereals, yoghurt, fruits, hot bacon, sausages, tomatoes, eggs and mushrooms. Lots of different breads, juices, teas and coffees. Great value and just what you need before a days sightseeing. Our room was small but well planned, clean and comfortable. We had a very warm greeting as soon as we entered the Hotel, from Alex. Although in travelling, my expectations do not include that everyone speaks English; but, your staff spoke it extremely well, which makes travelling so much easier. The staff are top-notch. Very few luxury hotels are able to balance friendliness with efficiency like Hotel Bagues. It's a rare gift to offer the experience they do for guests. The ambiance of the hotel is fantastic, too, and despite being on the La Rambla - with a room overlooking it - at night we could only hear the faintest of sounds. Luxuriously decorated, but cosy, the entire hotel is a really lovely experience.
