Great location for stop off for either the Santander or the Bilbao ferry... typical spanish, good little tapas bar, good cheap menu del dia, good secure car parking over the road from hotel..Get there early enough to walk into Castro Urdiales and spend some time there .. you will not be disappointed with the resort....
Pet friendly. This was our third visit as it is a convenient stopover
distance from Galicia. The fixed price restaurant menu at the weekend is
very good though the midweek cheaper one is less good. I'm sure we

Very comfortable and clean throughout. Friendly and helpful staff. Ideal location for the night before taking the early morning ferry from Bilbao.
Nice hotel we rode from the boat to the town in 30mins easy to find nice staff also secure parking for motorcycles.
Comfortable room. Nice bathroom. Quiet hotel with nice bar.
The bar at the bottom of the hotel had a lovely barman and it was a good place to get a drink.

Noisy guests in next room till 2am (hotel empty so why put guests so close). Followed by dust carts outside then the cock crowing!.
food was poor. Staff friendly but unable to speak hardly any english....dealt in smiles and sign language!!!.
There was a terrible smell coming from the drains in the bathroom. In addition the bedroom window is over a patio area on which people smoked until midnight causing us discomfort.
Hotel was most expensive on our tour of Spain and was the most run down. Tired bedroom with grubby carpet and very old bathroom.
