Both shared dorms and private rooms are available, all with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and bed linen. Each bed has a locker, a reading light, bedside table, a USB charger and 2 plugs. Laundry facilities and towels are available for an extra cost.
Urbany Bar serves drinks and food and there are also vending machines for snacks. A wide range of dining options and bars can be found in the surrounding area.
Staff can help with tourist information and also organize activities in the hostel and around Barcelona city. Luggage storage is available at the hostel.

Staff, facilities, location.
I took the train from Madrid to Barcelona and stayed here. Its close enough to walk from the station (I only had a backpack though), checked in and got my keys, and the rest was cake. Cool lockers you can lock with your key card, free internet downstairs, and the breakfast was also pretty cheap and pretty good.
The Renfe was on strike the day my train left back to Barcelona, and I was not sure what to do as I had a flight to catch the next day, front desk was very. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
Staff are helpful and very friendly, specially the amazing (Ricardo), the guy at the front-desk.
Security arrangements and comfortable beds.
The very central location of Urbany made it very easy to reach for the top landmarks and sightseeing.
Very easy to reach from the BCN airport; A1 bus from the airport till Place De Catalunya, then a 3 minutes walk through the Gran Via street to the hostel.
The place is more of a youth hostel and suitable for budget travelers.
Would definitely stay there ag.
Excellent location: easy to get from the airport (just take the AeroBus and drop off a little bit before Plaça Universitat – University Square) and near a lot of interesting places. 24 hour reception with English-speaking staff. Fast and free Wi-Fi. Young atmosphere, they give great tips about bars and nightclubs. They have a lot of security measures, to enter and walk around Urbany you have to use your access card constantly. I definitely recommend Urbany for those with a young mind.
I stayed here with my brother and a friend. The staff were helpful when required and there was a great atmosphere. The room was clean with a spacious locker. Definetely good for those on a budget. This place is more a youth hostel that anything else, there was a real party atmosphere which we loved. Great barman, great nightlife here, our high point was definetely the organised trips to night clubs!! Would most definetelystay here again :).
This hostel is amazing! So far one of the best I've ever stayed! The design is super cool and everything is very new and very clean. They also take us to clubs at night for free which I thought was an excellent idea! I totally recommed! The price was ok for what it is. The rooms are very confortable and the security is super high! The night staff was awesome!.
I loved the events they had for us everyday - Beach Parties, Roof top drinks, Pool parties and what not. I loved the staffs there. They were really helpful and nice. Each bed has its own locker and the best thing is there is an usb port to charge your cellphone and plug for your laptop with a laptop stand in each bed.

A great and friendly hostel. Have its own free internet zone with computers which really helped me out. Also has its own nice bar and entertaiment zone with ping-pong and pool tables, some tabletop games and a projector. Made some friends there, had a great time. Thank you guys!.
so close to city and subway station, clean and stuff are so helpful and friendly. there is a big drawer under your bed so you can leave you bag in it even there is a plug , so if you want you can leave your phone on charger and lock drawer.

at the clubs all nights were cool.
Location is very close to Pl. Catalunya (where you can take Aerobus A1/A2 to the airport), to La Rambla (10-12 min. by walk) and to metro Universitat (3-5 min.).
Very good buffet breakfast just for 3 euro.

what i loved was the lockable cubbies under the beds. no need to worry about bringing a padlock! great hostel, fun design, easy to find and really helpful staff and cheap breakfast.
Brand new hostel, great facilities, iPhone charger next to bed, really good shower, bar and communal area were really good, staff were really helpful and spoke fantastic English!.
Very new, modern, beds with plugs (even you don't need an European
adaptor), friendly and helpful staff, nice people around, in the chill
out room the played Star Wars!.

The shower is kinda annoying. The idea of pushing the bottom to release water is very nice and everything for saving water but if you want to relax during the shower it's barely impossible! You have to keep pushing the bottom all the time. And the staff in the morning are not so friendly, they help you with everything but... I guess it's because they are always busy.
Every time I wanted to extend my stay in the hostel, I had to change the room. That was difficult. And if you leave the hostel, you don't have free locker for the day which was a little bit sad.
There is nothing to complain about. That hostel is much better than some.
shower doesnt work if you dont press the tap button and there is no place to put your stuff in shower.
Very small and narrow rooms. There is no any place for luggage. In 4 people's room only 2 people can move at the same time, others have to wait.
Air conditioner works as mad. If you turn it off, seems like there is no oxygen in the room, otherwise it's sipmly cold.
1. Bad shower... (cold water and weak pressure- I couldn't wash my hair).
toilet doors were quite translucent...not very private. but it was nice to have them right in the room!.
The use of a card constantly for everything was a minor annoyance, but it made everything very secure so I'm being really picky!.
The hostel is in the final details, but our bathroom door didn't
close in the first night (wasn't didn't lock, we couldn't
close it!). Then the second day they just removed it! The room was with
6 people, very uncomfortable! Then they fixed in the last day... The
reception is always full and take long to check in/out...
Hostel fee is changing everyday and I already reserved that hostel 1 month ago. But hostel fee is going down when I was in Barcelona, it was even cheaper than my fee. I think this is unreasonable. I book it before and quite long time but there aren't that kind of policy in hostel.
fridge in the kitchen was a bit small and sometimes it was hard and took lots of time to find my products.
Bathroom isn't comfortable, there was no place to put your towel and clothes. I didn't find kitchen...
One dryer and washing machine in the laundry room were broken.
Price for breakfast and towel is separated.
My room was by the street. There was a glass door to a small balcony. The bus stop was just under the balcony. The glass door wasn`t sound-proof at all. All the night I can hear cars and buses passed by loudly. I was waken by them for many times.
Rooms are very small. May be because its Barcelona and space is money.
The toilet and shower room is in the room and four people share one bathroom sometimes it's not enough.
Shame the rooftop jacuzzi wasn't on or warm. 4 person room was adequate for 2 but would have been very small for 4.

Felt it was SORELY understaffed, actually felt sorry for those staff on duty, were under lot of pressure.....no 24 hr service for drinks( not alcohol) or food/ snacks... Cleanliness not great in rooms...

No respect for others... @ all times of night... We did not have 1 good nights sleep in 5 nights...

our first night was double booked so we had to stay elsewhere. the girl at the desk was not particularly helpful and was quite rude. found out from others that they often loose or double book reservations.
Cleanliness - Although the room was cleaned on a daily basis, we found that it didnt meet our expectations. The floor was dusty and dirty. Also, we found strains of hair on the towels. One of the towels even had dirty patches!.
the room was so small with super expensive price , i haven't been so small hotel, and the water you use in the room works like that if you push the botton it comes very short time, even when you taking shower, every three second you have to push the botton again. my god , i have been crazy about it. anyway i booked it for four nights , but i only stayed there one night. i felt so free after i leave there.

The noise was terrible and nobody was there to warn the noisy guest who ran in the coridor during the night. For me it was 48 hours of non sleeping stay!.
