Room was large and nicely decorated. The large bed was very comfortable and the room had with lots of windows and a balcony. The hosts put in a lot of thought and effort into making Penelope's Guesthouse a wonderful place to stay at in Stellembosh. Breakfast was excellent. The hosts were charming. Free parking and wi-fi. There's a pool in the back. Stellenbosh is a beautiful place to visit. A car is a must to reach the center of town or the wine estates close by. The Guesthouse is loc.

We loved our stay at Penelope's Guesthouse. Penelope is a great host, she recommend great vineyards for wine tasting and offered great assistance whenever needed. She offers a great full breakfast with fruit, croissant, yogurt, cheese, eggs, etc.. The breakfast is served on her garden terrace . It is very, very clean. The rooms are very large and well equipped. It was a pleasure to stay at her guesthouse and I will definitly return if ever I we have a chance to. I highly recommend this . Penelope's Guest House is a brilliant place to stay. The location is safe, smart and in a quiet residential area. The house is spotlessly clean with a first class breakfast. Penelope is friendly and welcoming. I would recommend staying here to anyone, especially for wine land tours or the odd trip in to Cape Town. Rooms were gorgeous, huge bed! Air conditioning. Bathroom very spacious. Staff very friendly and accommodating, breakfast very nice. Entrance hall very nice (pretty cat) & some secure parking. Easy access to town centre but have to drive. Found out there was a little supermarket down the road. Honesty bar. We loved everything about you. Friendly, good breakfast, lovely room with personal touches - flowers especially and coffee making machine. Thought of all our comfort. Thank you. Also you were a charming , welcoming host and nothing too much trouble to assist us. Penelope was a wonderful hostess. She went out of her way to try and find an address for me that I had visited in all my previous trips. Sad to find out the company had filed bankruptcy. Great Breakfast. Incredibly clean... really mean it! The bed is so comfy, we couldn't get out of it in the morning. Good breakfast and nice owners. TIP: we used our GPS to find the place as we couldn't find it otherwise. A very friendly welcome. Just like staying in a family house. Every facility and help that you could possibly expect in a guesthouse. Quiet and secure location in a pleasant residential location. location - safe to walk to fantastic restaurants and short drive to winelands rooms large bright and clean helpful and attentive staff small pool area for relaxing. We loved the robe and the heated towel rail. The breakfast was very nice. The rooms are well equiped. The coffee machine in the room made it extra special. Wonderful staff, spotlessly clean, couldn't be more helpful and loved the extra little touches like fruit in room fresh cut flowers and wine on arrival. Excellent breakfast (great coffee), friendly owners, free wifi and very close to Stellenbosch and the surrounding vineyards. The bed was one of the most confortable I havce slept in. Staff were very friendly. Excellent hospitality and could not fault the service. Breakfast was spot on!. I like everthing of Penelopis and i can wait to go back if i have the time. Everything - friendly host Very comfy bed - gorgeous room Lovely breakfast. - Room-size - quality of breakfast - equipment of rooms. the smell of roses the breakfast everything. Nothing. Nothing, everything was perfect for us. Nothing!. Breakfast tables were right outside our toilet window, not nice for people eating! Pool signs not clear and not enough loungers/chairs. Some parking but not sure there would be enough for all rooms. Posh coffee machine but not easy to use. Breakfast coffee was very weak but that might just be me!. I could not get connected to wireless in my room. Had to stand outside our door. But not really an issue with me. there was nothing to dislike. Would have been nice to have little table or more shelves in the bathroom for toiletries. Those we had to unpack into the night stands in the bedroom. Nothing!. Location is a bit out of town. Nothing!.

This guesthouse is situated in Paradyskloof, Stellenbosch, in the heart of the Cape winelands. It offers elegant rooms with private balconies and views of Simonsberg, the Stellenbosch Mountains and Helderberg Mountains. Each of the four guest bedrooms at Penelope's Stellenbosch has a king-size bed, Netflix (no DSTV) and en-suite bathroom with a heated towel rail and shower. Some rooms have a bath/shower combination. A full breakfast is served on the verandah (enclosed in winter), or in front of the fireplace. Penelope's Stellenbosch has an outdoor pool and sun terrace. There are also plenty of hiking opportunities surrounding the property. Penelope's Stellenbosch has a power back-up system installed for power outages, as well as a borehole on site.
