Cosa dice la gente
Great location, just 500 meters away from lavender subway station. Able to walk from little India to hotel (about 1 km). Bus stop is just opposite of the hotel where we can take No.147 to China town, many bus to Vivo city (to Universal Studio) and other tourist attractions.
Staffs are friendly, maid can speak English and they even clean bathroom everyday! Rooms are small but very clean. Splendid.
Opposite of the hotel was a restaurant named" Cheng Mun Kee Pig Organ Soup". Their soup was splend. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
We stayed at the Kam Leng hotel for 3 days n it was perfect in every sense, the food court with authentic singaporean n thai steet food, the farrer park station for MRT hardly 7 mins walk from the hotel. The room was comfortable n the bed perfect for a good nite's rest aft a whole day of travelling and sight seeing. The bathrooms also are clean and spacious.they only need to add a small foldable iron board n iron.extremely gracious receptionists.can't wait to go back there!.
Excellent service and wonderfully helpful staff. Very happy to organise cabs and tours and store luggage. Price and location were awesome if you're happy to stay somewhere less touristy. Heaps of interesting sights in walking distance - including Little India. Room was very spacious and bed was really comfortable. Retro decor was fantastic - took photos of everything! Attached cafe was vegetarian friendly and reasonably priced. I would definitely book here again.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The map the hotel supplied
was the best I found in the city. The laptop that was available for free
use was invaluable because my partner's flight was late and I was
able to find out this info on the web. I wanted hotel on airport side of
town but not too far from city so this was perfect. Room had windows and
small garden outside was lovely. The cafe attached was clean and
friendly and had great food.
Our room was perfect, we booked an Executive room, facing backwards, so there was no noise and the size was big enough for Singapore. It has all you need, coffee, minibar, toiletries, safe, etc. The aircon worked really well and we found the decoration on 1920's very nice. We booked the hop on and hop off bus directly from the hotel and walked to the nearest stop (15min), is the best way to go around the city if you are staying for few days.
I loved the little design touches which add to a unique customer experience. All the rooms come with fast wifi, big LCD screen, lovely hot, power shower, complimentary water and tea/coffee. Can't fault anything! There is a lift so the towel is completely accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs too. There is a 24 hour Hawker centre just across the Main Street with all your Asian delights and just a ten minute walk to Farrer Park station.
The hotel is in a lively area, with good links to both the working and touristy areas. It's opposite a typical food court where you can eat a variety of meals for 2 dollars and up.
The room itself was a fair size, with a clean and effective bathroom. Aircon, Tv, coffee, locker, fridge and free water came with it. Nothing to complain about!
Staff were good, cleaner in particular very nice!
Well priced.
The concept and hotel design amazed us. We just wanted a simple, comfortable stay for our anniversary and this was the ideal place. 24 hour food outlet right opposite our hotel. Mustafa Centre is just a short walk down the road. Our room was very spacious. I didn't want to leave!.
The big bathroom, the polished concrete floor. The comfortable bed. The color scheme in the room and slightly aged Indian ambiance of the Hotel decor.
The housekeeping staff were very good and so were the front desk. Great location in Little India opposite food court.
We stayed at the Kam Leng Hotel 2 times during a visit in Singapore. Our room was big enough and clean. Location is ok. Nearest subway station is about 15 mins walk. There is a food court across the street where you can enjoy a perfect and cheap meal.
- Good staff
- Clean room(If it is not clean just say it and it will be cleaned very soon)
- 10 min. walk to metro
- Very close to Chinese food court
- Close to markets
- Table to work with lap top
- Good for a 3 star.
Excellent location near a lot of the areas we wanted. Hawker food centre
opposite! Free wi-fi. Breakfast voucher can be prepaid or paid at end of
stay, for cafe/bar opposite reception. Lovely character hotel.
Neat rooms. Central location close to main shops and train line. Food court across the road. It's a neat room. Good TV little fridge and shower....all that we needed. We will be back mainly for the location.
the location near to restaurants and food court. with nice food, and reasonable prices.
The hotel rate is good, budget place to spend vacation in Singapore, clean, and comfortable toilet.
recepsionist are welcome and helpfull, can get discount ticket for Universal studio, no need to que.
not so difficult to get taxi, and about 10 minutees by walk to FArrer PArk MRT.
The 24 hour food hall just opposite and the central location of the hotel. Singapore is a lovely place and I highly recommend the Kam Leng Hotel to stay for value for money.
I like location of this hotel as just opposite the 24 hours food court and convenient to go anywhere as well as price are quite reasonable.
We liked being close to Little India; the food in the little restaurant
was very good; the staff were always friendly and helpful.
The atmosphere of the hotel is very retro and chic. I like the design of the hotel too and it is proximity to food.
big toilet, clean sheet and towels, good wifi signal, convenience with food court and 7-11 opposite the hotel.
Hotel atmosphere.
Hotel location.

Staff cooperation.
Room was small but comfortable.
Room was spacious, 15min walk from 2 metro station, good central
location to explore Singapore.
Very good atmosphere. Clean. Good staff. 24 food center across road. Wireless access is good.
Good staff , really welcoming and available
Price
fridge in the room
room cleaning service.
It's on strategic location, near from MRT and food counter.
I like the interior.
Good housekeeping, and very kindful and friendly waitress at morning shift,.
The shower facilities were excellent room tidied every day and fresh towels.
Breakfast was amazing

All the basics in the room.
Very clean room, cheap and cheerful right in the heart of China Town.
Location of the Hotel, Staff of the Hotel were very accommodative.
Accomodating and friendly staff, clean and the comfortable bed...
Great concept and cute rooms. Great place for budget travelers.

24 hour Hawkers Market across the road.

the housekeeping.
The concept was good.
Clean
Nice location.
Accessible...
Budget friendly. In spite of rather budget look the room had all expected facilities. Modern bathroom. Good aircon. Easy walk to modern shopping mall. Good small attached restaurant (Suprette).
The cleaning lady does an exceptional job of maintaining cleanliness of the room but sometimes forgot to place hand towels and the complimentary water bottles.
Some mould on ceiling, probably due to humid climate - everything else was spotless. Air conditioning struggled to cope with May temperature. Humidity in room was more of an issue, but it is Singapore! Would come in winter next time.
The bare concrete floors in the bedroom was a little ugly but I
understand it is cooling and easy to clean.
It's far from the center, and 15 minutes walking to the metro.
The main road can be busy at times so crossing the road can be difficult. Still, it's nothing like crossing the road in Vietnam!.
Wall paper/paint peeling away a little on one wall but if anything it added to the character of the room!.
If you're a terribly light sleeper, you may not like it as the walls are pretty thin but as for me, the comfortable bed was divine so I didn't lose much sleep.
The room itself could have done with some more storage space.
No windows/natural light in the room. For us this wasn't a huge problem, since we were only there during the nights and there is aircon.
- Small room (But good for a 3 Star Singaporean Hotel)
- Street noise if the room sees the street
- No locker just hangers.
A little noisy in our room at the front of the hotel mainly due to there
being shutters with fixed louvres in the shower wet room. This also
allowed biting insects to get in. It obviously reduces the chance of
mould growing in the humidity but it would have been nice if we could
have closed the louvres when we were in the shower wet room.
At $15 per hour late check out is pretty steep but we were warned and avoided the surcharge.
But need to take taxi because the distance to MRT is far 20 minutes walk, with heavy traffic so must be careful.
The room is not too big but standard for Singapore Hotel.
Some decoration style of the hotel made the hotel look very old, actually if repainting that should be better.
The room was small but manageable.
funk, moldy smell in the room. only getting better after AC on. But still stinky a bit.
Electronic locker in room was not working.
Corridors echoed and could be noisy, eg, with doors slamming. Need some sound insulation on doors.
this time the room was humid , smell contains, difficult to refresh
Premium rooms are really better for price difference.
Expensive breakfast.
~10min walk to nearest train.
Unfortunately no safe in the room, otherwise it was a great hotel.
Size of the room was small, but we knew this and were prepared for it.
Only the noise along the main road, but it doesn't really matter...
noise levels:-(.
Air con is a bit weak. Hallways are loud in the morning.
None in particular.
nothing in particular.
Yes, the rooms that face the street are noisy. Also, the nearest subway station is 10 minutes away.
Far from MRT.
Lack of chest to put not hanging clothes; lack of tablet for toiletries in bathroom.
The restaurant. Not spacious enough.
the flooring could be nicer instead of just dull cemented.
no mirror in the room only in the toilet.
There were no curtains so the morning light was shining in and we could not sleep in.
just a bit small.
Shabby in public areas, particularly stairwells and corridors. Room decor basic and not well furnished. Single glazing in an older building meant more than usual road noise.
