It is two steps from Nevsky on a pedestrian street across from the Kazan Cathedral, yet because it's on a pedestrian street, it's reasonably quiet. I always prefer to book apart- hotels, which have a kit - Apartment owner, Svetlana, was excellent with her emailing, cleaning and helping us find our way around St Petersburg, also her son, Paul, was very good when he greeted us when we arrived, showing us places to visit and how to get there. We felt quite safe and comfortable in the apartment, it was quiet and Svetlana was excellent.
