  Everything was just perfect! Despite being located near the central station and in the middle of the city the hotel was very quiet.   The place of the boat is excellent, the owner was really lovely and helpful. However don't expect luxury - it's a little boat not a 5 star hotel after all. So the single cabin is really tiny, but clean. And though the breakfast was more than adequate for me, the others might not like it. The bed is around 1mtr from the ground which gives plenty of room underneath it. There is free wifi internet (speed is ok) but its only available in the public area.

  Amsterdam's a walkable city and the Avanti is just right in the Middle of the City a 7 minutes walk from the Central Station! Made life really easy as I could explore and return at anytime without bothering when the tram and the like would close.   I loved the whole idea of staying on a ship. The location was great as well, just a 5-10 minute walk to the Central Station area. The rate included breakfast which was good, I just wish it started a little earlier because we wanted to get out of the city to head home as early as possible. I would absolutely return if I visit Amsterdam again. Note if you're driving - we - The owners were exceptionally nice and welcoming. The location is great!   We loved the location and the fact that it was a boat! We were in Amsterdam and lived the experience of living in a boat! How cool?! Nemo was right there and you have the best view from the top and its free. The staff was very friendly and gave us some helpful tips and gave us maps. The rooms are really small but its enough, especially because you only go t - Even if the room was small, it was well organised so efficient. I was scared I would feel the boat moving since it was windy but it never happened. The people were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was also very good.
