Cosa dice la gente
The owners, Matthew and his lovely wife Noriko, are the friendliest
faces one can ever ask for in a country where I can only manage to say
"thank you" and "delicious". Both of them made my
stay in Matsuyama unforgettable - so much so, I extended my planned
holiday (even re-booking new flight!) to 2 additional nights at Sen
Guesthouse. I highly recommend Matt & Noriko's place if
you're coming to visit Matsuyama. They've even got their own
version of "off the beaten track" route to Ishite-Ji . tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
That was the friendliest hostel I've ever stayed at. Infact, we only planned on crashing for a few nights, and ended up staying 5, and could have easily done a few more. Nori and Matt - the owners, are rarities for the hospitality industry, as they're in it for the real personal values, not just monetary. Can't say I've felt more relaxed staying in a hostel before. Actually, hostel's not the right word to describe Sen. Guesthouse perhaps? Well....You'll have to find out for yourself.
Great great guesthouse and wonderful hosts. Location is perfect, walking distance from station and Dogo Onsen. Tatami room was very very nice. Hosts were very helpful for suggesting all kind of different Onsen, and hiking routes, and they also recommended me a great local bar where by coincidence some very cool fellow Belgians were playing live. What at great evening. Really loved Matsuyama, I'll be back for sure, and stay longer : ).
the owners (matt and nori-san) were so fantastic! they made everything super easy, and heaps of recommendations. the guesthouse also holds fun events every! the kitchen is really big and clean. the common areas are relaly clean and pretty. the rooftop and its hammocks! the guests were really great too. the ease of access to dogo onsen, food and transport.
The above categories really don't give a good picture. It IS budget-friendly, but that's not the main reason to stay. Owners Matt and Nori are an American/Japanese couple. English is excellent and they are very helpful. Rooms very pleasant, location quiet, great common space and coffee where you can schmooze with owners and other travelers.
The owners were amazing. Very knowledgable and friendly, they make great strawberry-shu and have a beautiful place. The first floor has a great lounge area, and an bar/seating area. huge kitchen! The roof is relaxing and the rooms are very clean and have great amenities. I would highly recommend it to everyone.
The owners do a phenomenal job at making you feel like you're at home. They are extremely warm hearted. The place is modern and clean. We had a barbeque on the rooftop. The kitchen is huge and free to use. They have great a advice for what to do around Matsuyama. Overall, a great visit.
This was a pleasant surprise for an older couple. Matt and Nori were knowledgable, considerate and helpful. The location was close to some handy stores, trams and tourist spots and the rooms spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped too. We also enjoyed the rental bikes.
Nice location really close to the famous Dogo onsen. The rooms are quite big and comfortable and not overcrowded at all, something rare among guesthouses. The owners are nice people and can give you some good tips about where to go and how to best explore the area.
The owners are the friendliest people ever ! They did a great job arranging the place too, which now has a very harmonious balance of traditional and modern feelings. The location could not be better, so close to the Dogo onsen and yet very quiet at night.
wonderful atmosphere, wonderful hosts - Noriko and Matthew made us feel like old friends are were so informative, spotless, spacious, elegant rooms, and loved the "guesthouse" way of doing things. Our best experience in Japan.
The staff was really friendly and helpful, the room was clean and confortable. The hostel is really far from the station, but close enough to the touristic area.
Great location. Wonderful helpful owners with what to see in Matsuyama and information regarding the 88 Temple Pilgrimage walk on Shikoku Island.
Really good helpful staff. Perfekt for tips and tricks for hiking the area. Awesome little whiskey assortment. We had a wonderful time!.
Very friendly , clean, excellent location, the fact I could communicate in English was a huge bonus for us.
Everything there are japanese style, the owner care everything in the guesthouse. Clean everywhere.
Everything! Warm reception, helpful, felt at home. Best place we stayed in 5 cities! Stay here!!.
Very clean and room was really comfortable. Place looked really nice.
Super Friendly
wonferdul bedroom in Japanese style
the roof Terasse.
Very nice and helpful owner cupple!.
Sink in room, bath down hall. Women's toilet on a different floor than our room.
The location of the showers, separate from the toilets and rooms, is a building design matter the owners can't do much about - a minor observation.
Like in all of Japan, the walls are not so good at isolating sound from neighbouring rooms. At least the boys on the next room (quite loud at a late time) were sensible enough to stop when I asked them.
An hour away from the station.
I lost the way to the guesthouse for some minute. A litle of people nearby the guesthouse know it.
Lack of showers on 1F, 2F and 3F....the ones on BF were good though.
