The staff went above and beyond to help me retrieve an electronic
device I left on the train. Apart from that the location was only a few
minutes walk from Kyoto Station which we found perfect and the hotel
was clean and comfortable, providing wifi which can't ways be
presumed in Japan. -

have spa on top floor which is a bonus for after shopping, although its a bit small but it still good. A lot of people were saying about no wifi in the room but if you ask the staff at reception they will give you a modem for your room to use, free of charge! this was another bonus since i thought they only have wifi in the lobby. -

Very nice and very clean hotel. Rooms are a bit small (like everywhere in japan) but comfortable and clean. Staff is very kind and speak english very well. Very good value for money. Breakfast is also good.
I can recommend this hotel.
The location is not so exciting, I though it was quite near to Gion but it's not. You have to take the subway to reach restaurants or night life areas.

The staff is friendly & polite. The receptionist repsond effectively to our enquiry with acceptable English speaking ability. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The location is great as it is close to bus station so that make it easy accessible to all kinds of train station. -

Spacious and comfortable room. Staff extremely attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Whilst WIFI is not available everywhere, we were provided with a router for the room that had a fast and reliable connection. Very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

no elevator and we were on the 4th floor but the guy insisted on

I loved the public bath. But also that it was only optional so that we
had a private bathroom as well. The staff could not do more for us. They
helps us navigate the bus system, we could buy bus passes and rent bikes
from them. And even though they had their own resultant, on the days our
money was low and we bought meals from the 7/11 down the road they
offered their microwave for us to use.

We only had one afternoon to spend from 2.00 pm onwards so it was great that it was so close to the Nijo Castle, then we walked down Nishiki Market near Shijo Dori. There is a nice little ramen restaurant in the corner of the street opposite Nijo Castle which we liked as they even have English menu.

The rooms were compact, but contained everything required. The location was within walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, temples, the Nishiki market and surrounding shopping streets/department stores, Gion, as well as Kyoto station (more great shopping!), and was also very close to lots of public transport. Solid value for the money, particularly for a solo or business traveler. Not a lot of frills when it comes to the rooms and restaurant, but the public bath and relaxation room, plus the professionalism of the staff, make it well worth it.
It is a bit of a walk from neighborhoods that have a lot of eating and shopping options, but in exchange, it is quite while remaining central. Bicycle rental is convenient.

The environment was quiet, relaxing, and generally excellent. The staff were among the most helpful (and friendly!) I've met.
It sits literally on the doorstep of the Imperial Gardens - morning walks there are brilliant. There's also a convenience store just around the corner.
