The space was clean and excellently presented. The photographs in the
pictures online don't necessarily do the room justice. My fiancee
and I rented a traditional Japanese style room with the tatami floor.
Not only were the futons that we used on the floors big enough to be
the same size as a king-sized bed, but they were extremely comfortable.
On top of that, there was a fold out sofa in our room in case we needed
it for whatever reason. The temperature controls were very easy to
manage as it . tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
The staff were very helpful. They would actually sit down with us and plan our itinerary for the day, offering other value adding services from the Ryokan. One which I was impressed with was that they sold day pass tickets for buses in Kyoto. They also organized Japanese Calligraphy workshops on certain nights. They spoke good English and the place was just very homey. And to top that off, the Japanese styled breakfast was very sumptuous. At nights, when all retreated to their rooms a.
The staff was very friendly, helpful, and spoke very good English. Their breakfasts options were good and affordable (¥800). Other ryokans we stayed in were more like ¥1,000. Yummy Japanese breakfast (small piece of salmon, miso soup, rice, pickles) and a couple of western options (eggs, sausage, toast). Room was small, but comfortable and clean. Kitchenette with sink, hot pad and hot water maker. Location right between Higashi and Nishi Hongangi temples, so central to train station and economi.
Nice balance between traditional and contemporary. Friendly relaxed atmosphere - the lobby was more like a lounge with people hanging out, reading the papers, taking a calligraphy class, - the room was simple but charming and comfortable. We liked being able to make tea in our room. And the staff were v knowledgeable, friendly with excellent English.Staff were excellent. They went out of their way to be hospitable and waited until early hours of the morning for our arrival due to delays. This was greatly appreciated, we can't thank you enough. The rooms were beautiful, and whole experience just fantastic. Thank you.
We loved staying at Kaede Ryokan. The interior of the hotel is unique
and original. The beds are convenient. The rooms are big enough. They
have put funny stuff in the lobby like Origami-papers and instructions
on how to make figures with it, really nice.
This is an amazing ryokan, where you can choose between Japanese and Western style rooms. It is not luxurious, but it is very clean, comfortable, and the staff speaks very good English. It is cheap if you consider the quality of service and acomodations.
Excellent service from the nicest staff. We first had a room without an elevator, but they offered us to change the room because my mother had trouble with the stairs. We didn't even need to request it! The rooms was beautiful, big and cozy.
I love the fact that this Ryokan is so close to a major place of interest (Nishi Honganji), and a very short distance to the bus stop. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and can converse in English fluently.
The staff all made us feel at home. They were very helpful with our sightseeing needs. The ryokan is very clean and maodern. I would reccomend to everyone.
Very clean and with super friendly staff. The metro is only 10 minutes walk away and you can also walk to Kyoto city centre (around 30 minutes).
The staff is incredibly warm. Rooms are nice and the position is
perfect, right near to a wonderful shrine and not far from the station.
good value for a nicely managed ryokan & tatami room. nice neighborhood with an acceptable 10-15 mins walk from Kyoto Station.
very clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful (English spoken also), could ask for more.....
Very clean
10 minutes walk from Kyoto station
English-speaking staff
Modern interior..in a Japanese style.
Good location, near a very beautiful temple. Staff are so nice and hotel is very clean :-).
Friendly staff, speaking very good English. Nice japanese-style room, but very small.
Great location, so helpful and nice staff, beautiful room, yummy breakfasts...
Good position to visit Kyoto. Friendly staff, nice and clean rooms.

Friendly and helpful staff, fotun bedding, close to a bus station.
Clean, comfortable and with very friendly and helpful staff.
Friendly!near the station! Very nice and helpful staff.
nice Japanese style room. Clean and comfortable.
Really nice staff, good english spoken.
Friendly staff ready to help any time.
It was a tad difficult locating this hotel in the dark with a dodgy
mobile phone. However, once we found it, it was a bit obvious. It's
right off a main thoroughfare and is very quiet despite its close
proximity to the Kyoto Station.
Seriously, nothing ...
The room could have been more spacious and with more space for clothes.
The location is ok: about 10-15 minutes walking distance from the
central station but if you want to stay in the hussle and bussle of,
E.G. Gion, you might want to choose another hotel.
Nothing, everything was perfect!.
The price is slightly on the high side, but it is understandable because of its location and proximity to Kyoto Station. Wish there was wfi in the room though, that will be my only complaint.
Nothing.
A slightly bigger wardrobe would have been better.
the only thing we felt picky about is the roll-down curtain of the window - which is only shading but not fully blocking the light at night.
nothing.
No luggage racks if you have a lot of baggage
Nowhere to hang towels or put things conveniently in the bathroom
Only 1 bedside table.
Abit far from Kyoto station.
Nothing.
nothing.
It's not a classical Ryokan but for still you get a glimpse of tradition ..
Nothing.
