  Our stay at Bells Cabin felt more like a visit with good friends. The host is very attentive, warm and affable, which immediately puts guests at ease. Their breakfast was the best we had during our two-week stay in Japan.   Although we weren't sure what to expect booking this hotel as it was new and didn't really have reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The owners picked us up from the station, showed us around Karuizawa by car, and even gave me a scarf because I looked cold! The house is brand new and located nicely in the forest of Naka Karuizawa. It's a good starting point for bike riding in the area, even there's a little hill to climb when coming form the station. The twin room we stayed had typical size for Japanese hotel and was fully equipped. And there is a small patio in front of the rooms to enjoy the nature and quietness
