  There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which have bus going to the hakodate ropeway at a sceduled timing. The front desk staff - a lady was very helpful and flexible. My friend and I were early (by abt an hr) and she gave us a room even though check in is 3pm onwards. Just walk about 2 minutes from JR Station to get there and from there it takes just a minute to the Morning Market. The room is quite old but very neat and tidy. They have a big flat screen TV, green tea, hair dryer, Yukata and Obi set for changing clothes. The staff is very nice although we get here a bit late (8pm).   it's very value for money and charming for its family run business kinda feeling. the owner is very kind and can speak english pretty well. he even let us hang in the lobby because we needed to catch the overnight bus to Saporo.   First of all, the hotel is near the Hakodate railway station. It is surrounded by eateries. The front desk staffs are very helpful especially Mr. Abe, who had helped me to contact the Sunroute New Hotel Sapporo to get my chain back where I have left it. Really appreciate his help.
