  A truly Japanese experience. We hand a japanese style room, with a picture postcard view of the lake and mount fuji in the distance. Upon arrival, we were served tea in our room. The large room was partitioned with a sliding japanese screen doors, dividing the bedroom and seating areas. We opted for the shared bathroom (there is a toilet in the ro... cosa dice la gente » om). We really didn't know what to expect. It's a traditional, segregated male and female, bathing area. Just what we all needed after a busy day sigh - spacious room with own terrace and bar makes me more relaxing while looking to the lake in front of me. during afternoon before dinner , walking in lake for about 5 mins walk from hotel is very convenient.and we try the japanese style room! was fantastic! should really try to first time in japan.they have also shuttle bus which u can ask to pick u up in nearest station.thier english is pretty understable so probably it will be good enough to zero percent japanese langauage.lots of near japanese

  This is a very special ryokan. It gaves us the feeling of a real Japanese hosting - The onsen, the Kaiseky meals and the whole atmosphere. The staff was great and kind, the rooms were beautiful and clean, and the private onsen is a treat! The location is very near to the lake so you can enjoy the town main attractions, and it's 20 minutes walk from the station. There's - The dinner and breakfast was top-notch. The service was exemplary. The private onsen just outside the room is pure enjoyment. Location isn't right next to Kawaguchiko lake or facing Mt Fuji, but walking to the lake takes only 5 min. The ryokan also has complementary service to bring you to & fro Kawaguchiko train station.

  Superior view of shy Mt. Fuji. Friendly and helpful staff. Very large room, especially in Japanese standards. Room had a TV (only japanese stations as far as I have seen), free Wifi, fridge. Hotel has a coin laundry. Some restaurants and supermarket nearby. We are very impressive from accommodation, nice view to see Fuji-San, great dinner, onsen available and very nice service. Even a location is a bit far from station (because we are tourist, don't use a private car) but hotel has a van service, very very very nice! Recommend !!!

  The staff were very friendly and satisfied all our wishes. The dinner and breakfast were incredible value for the price. The baths are nice and you might be lucky enough to spot Mt Fuji through the clouded windows. We stayed at a Japanese style room, a bit basic but quite ok for the price. You can rent bicycles which I would certainly encourage you to do if you stay longer, as going around the lake with the - Great getaway location from the southern part which is crowded and touristy. The owner provides free shuttle to and from kawaguchi-ko station so distant location is not an issue at all. The owner is friendly and is keen to help with any questions should they arise. He's very adept in speaking english too and that helps alot. Each guest (or party of guests) get assigned 45 minutes of private hot bath at no additional cost. The lounge has fireplace that is lit up in the night. Wonderful atmospher
