Also because it is so well located, a taxi ride to Kyomizu-dera only costs around 1,000jpy if you are in a hurry or have young children. We were lucky to check out quickly and took a train to the Mimatsuso. By the time we reached there, it was almost midnight but on hearing our arrival, she served us each a cup of hot tea.I booked a room for 4 and we had a good experience sleeping on the tatami .
