B&B La Garçonniere - Foto
Cosa dice la gente
We left the guys at home and did a sister trip across Italy, and our
stay at this quaint little B&B fell right in the middle of our trip.
This was to be our respite prior to commencing our long drive to Calabria---
so we splurged and reserved the suite. What a great decision! After
getting lost, we finally found our way to this fantastic little B&B
and met Giuseppe and Tatiana, the darling couple who along with their
two daughters created and own La Garconniere. They immediately put us . tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
La Garconniere was quite simply a joy!! Our stay here was just wonderful!! We were thrilled with the central location, tasteful, elegant decor, lovely breakfast, helpful & friendly staff and amazing value for money. To call it a B&B seems inadequate and false ... it was far superior to most hotels we've stayed in!! Our room was huge, fully air-conditioned, beautifully decorated with luxurious bedding and elegant, quality furniture. Giuseppe, the owner is very charming, attentive and val.
We had a fantastic stay here! The rooms are stunning and excellent value. Our hosts (Giuseppe and Tatiana) went out of their way to help us. They were wonderful and we had great fun communicating in a mixture of English, Italian, French and a lot of hand waving. The location is 2 minutes from the waterfront and right in the centre of town. If you are going to Salerno, just stay here!! We were only sorry we could not stay an extra day....
Everything was great! We loved the location in the old town of Salerno and close to the beautiful coast and beach walk. Lovely and friendly staff. Morielle and Guiseppe was so nice and helpful to us, helping us with recommendations for good restaurants, beaches etc. We felt very comfortable and relaxed at the B&B La Garconniere. Modern and clean interior. Good selection for breakfast!.
Beautiful room, clean, large, comfortable, owner very friendly and
helpful, our own private bath was next to room and was large and modern,
wifi worked in room, large flat screen tv, mini frig in room, we would
certainly recommend this B&B. Great location for restaurants, shops,
and walking distance to port for boat trips to the Amalfi Coast and
Capri. About a mile from train station.
The B&B Garconniere is a very welcoming and well managed “small boutique hotel”. We have stayed there only for two days but we really enjoy the break. The hotel is like small apartment, very well designed. The owners are friendly and if you need any guidance ( i.e. best places to eat etc. ) they will help and even take you there.
La Garconniere has all the features of 5-start hotel.
Giuseppe and Tiziana were wonderful hosts, went out of their way to accommodate our dietary needs. Elegant and restful decor, close to good restaurants, easy to get to main sights. Tiziana makes many of the excellent breakfast pastries herself! "Good" for facilities because steep steps might be a problem for some (weren't for us).
Beautifully decorated bed and breakfast in the historic part of Salerno. Very good base for exploring the Amalfi coast and the owner gave us great recommendations for food and where to visit. If you like a 'non-hotel' experience, this a gem - beautifully clean, romantically designed with new furniture and lovingly kept.
We visited for my wife's birthday and we could not have had a more special stay. This place is a real find for it's Luxury, central location and kind people running it. We wandered down the town and purchased some real Italian cuisine which we brought back to the suite for a taste/ experienceof Italy. It was pure Heaven.
Marbella, the house keeper was beyond helpful, friendly and attentive.
The owners of the B&B, Giuseppe and Titziana were so kind. They came
in every morning to greet and chat with us...really felt welcomed. We
highly recommend a day trip to Polinuro. Much better than going to
Capri. Less crowds and so beautiful.
We, really, loved Guiseppe's (the owner of La Garconniere) hospitality. He is a very nice & welcoming host & took great care of us.
We appreciated the sincere effort he made to please us & we would like to thank his daughter, Juliana, for acting as translator for me.
This is a place that surprises you. The interior is stylish with nice
collection of furniture . We loved the breakfast. Our room was nice and
modern. The location was close to the ocean and shopping. You can walk
to everywhere. The owners were friendly and helpful.
We stayed only for one night and it was really great!!..Great location,
just round the corner from the main street with lots of restaurants.
Friendly staff and very helpfull.. The room was second to none, clean
and comfortable. Amazing, 100% recommended.
The room was beautiful; a French theme in Italy.
Breakfast was baked fresh for me the next morning, chocolate croissant, yogurt, and cake, a huge cappuccino and juice (they also had an option with ham that you could choose).
Very welcoming hosts.
It is in a very good spot of the city and even without gps we didnt have problem to find it. The staff is very friendly and the room and bathroom big and very clean. Breakfast amazing as well.
Exceptional views and great location in Salerno. Walk to restaurants and shopping in the old center of town. Close to train station.
very friendly owners, very helpful; the house is directly in the middle of Salerno. This accommodation is a jewel.
Very convenient location. Pleasant design, very cosy place. Beautiful view from balcony.
I recommend this place.
Great location and a really fun city. Salerno is a great alternative base for an Amalfi Coast holiday.
Friendliness of staff; wonderful facilities; great location. Excellent value for money.
Newly renovated:Large beautiful bedroom;large chic bathroom; very good breakfast.
Very well decorated large apartment.
The bed is the best I have ever slept in.
Nicely decorated with great character. Good location. Lovely staff.
Nice place, would stay there again!.
kind owner, very supportive.
We liked the location of the hotel and the hotel building.
A bit difficult to find particularly for someone who does not speak
Italian or who cannot use stairs--BUT don't let the fact that it
tucked out of the way sway your decision, for it is one not to be
missed!!!! If you drive, use the B&B's suggested parking, as it
is far more reasonable than the Salerno garage we used.
Only the absence of a lift - quite a few steps to climb as the property Is on the 2nd floor.
Nothing.
For seniors, B&B is up 2 flights of stairs but owner will help
with luggage.
Not a negative, just be aware: the steps are steep (no elevator), and the B&B only takes cash.
Opaque doors which let in the hall light... honestly - a tiny thing.
Nothing whatsoever.
Unfortunately, because we were staying there on Saturday night & we had one the rooms on one of the main squares in Salerno, there was a lot of noise, from outside, till very late. But apart from this, everything was perfect.
No elevator. Bathroom outside of room could be a nuisance if the other
Room is occupied.
No lift so pack light.
There are stairs to go to the B&B, 2 floors. So be prepared for it!.
Entrance to building is run down (not fault of apartment owner); but bath robes would be nice given separate bathroom is across the hall.
Renovation work which was being undertaken to the building at the time.
Bathroom separate to room.
Building being renovated, dusty and noisy during the day only.
no elevator.
The hotel was over-designed but the functionality was not there. Having the bathroom outside the room is a huge let down. The water running from the shower was very low-pressured and the water temperature changed constantly. Having a shower was a disaster. The breakfast was very bad. This hotel coasts too much and above all they only accept cash. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
