  We were pleasantly surprised by this one. I expected a backpacker hostel-type experience, but our room was on par with the nicer B&Bs and hotels we've stayed at. The staff were friendly at check-in and helped us arrange a cab to the ferry port the next day. We were staying at there hotel and thought food might not be good. We were pleasantly WRONG. All but the last of 3 days the food was excellent (we had breakfast, lunches and dinners on various days).   I stayed at Oliver St. John Gorarty's Penthouse Apartments with my Grandaughter and daughter-in- law for 3 nights, we really enjoyed the whole experience of Dubblin. The apartment was clean and comfortable, we found it to be better than a hotel room as we could sit in comfort and have a drink and something to eat before going out.   Nestled on a side street in Temple Bar, our family of 3 had to walk to the top floor. Fortunately, the small, lobby had a luggage storage closet, where we could leave our suitcases for the night. While at reception I observed that some of the people checking in had stayed in the hotel several times a very good indication of any business when the customer / client does repeat business.
