I can't praise Lisadell house highly enough. Upon arrival we were given the warmest and friendliest of greetings which instantly put us at ease. The room was bright, clean and warm. Nice little ensuite too. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and served with a bit of banter. Excellent value for money and we would absolutely stay there again.

From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable and welcome. I had called ahead to ask if our room could be ready earlier than normal check in time to enable us to freshen up and change for a wedding after travelling by car from Dublin and this was readily and reliably arranged. Almost everything! The location is perfect, the owners are decent, lovely, kind and very helpful. Couldn't ask for a better host. The value for our money in the room we got was excellent. The breakfast is everything we wanted plus it's served with a smile from the owners. How can you not have an enjoyable stay in such a place not too mention they got free WiFi. I will recommend the place to our friends anytime. Will go back there if we get a chance.

The rooms were lovely, big and clean. The price is very reasonable considering how close you are to the city and how nicely decorated the rooms are. There was a nice breakfast and they catered for gluten-free diets. Cork city was only a ten minute walk away, and it's right by the college.

Really liked the personal interaction with the hosts/owners who were very generous with helpful travel tips, advice and recommendations. Our room was generous and light and the bathroom light and bright with good towels. It was the only bedroom on our trip that had a powerboard close to a mirror and a writing table which meant you could plug in your computer, recharge your mobile and use the hair-straightener at the same time!
