  The hospitality and friendliness of the family who run this hotel. Good food and wine. Excellent value. We arrived late at 9:15 pm after a long days ride and they cooked us a meal. Not many hotels would do that!   This hotel was on the outskirts of Bad Durkheim (a short drive). We were 3 friends traveling together and their triple room was perfect. In fact the room could sleep 3 adults in single beds and 2 children (in a bunk bed) very comfortably. The additional single bed and bunk beds were in a separate room. The owners (a young couple) had each table set with all you could want for a continental breakfas - Good value for an expensive area. We had a very large room, clean and comfortable room, with a large balcony hugging the mountains. It was clearly off season, and we were the only guests at the hotel. But, the breakfast room was set as if the hotel was full, and a wonderful breakfast was prepared for us. This says a lot.

  Everything was simple. Location was excellent, owner spoke English and was very friendly, bigger breakfast than other pensions I have stayed at. We even had an adjoining room to our kids'. - It was in a lovely position, very near the Rhine, and was in a quiet position, near enough to the town. Nice owners.
