The hotel is literally on the sea shore. We were there during the winter, so the entire bay was frozen but can just imagine how wonderful it must be in the summer so close to the water. Nevertheless a beautiful white wondeland in the winter.The restaurant in the hotel is not to be missed. The food was heavenly! -

We were quite impressed by this hotel. It was quite clean (everything in the room appeared new) and comfortable with a good bed and plenty of heat. The shower was nice and hot, and there was free WiFi. It was convenient located across from the train station, and a close ten minute walk from the old city of Stralsund. Considering the low price,

A delightful find, off the beaten track opposite a large park, set back off the street with trees and plants everywhere. Staff were all great (even letting me torture them with my German) and breakfast was first-rate.
It is a 20 minute walk into the centre of town, but you would not want to drive into the town at any time - the only way to see it
