This 19th-century château is set within a 30-hectare garden in the city of Lillers in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region. It offers a terrace and a games room with board games and a billiards table. Each elegant room provides views of the surrounding park and includes free Wi-Fi access and a TV. They all have en suite bathrooms, and some rooms feature private terraces, fireplaces and spa baths. Breakfast is served every morning at Le Château de Philiomel and includes homemade jam, pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice. It can be enjoyed inside or on the terrace on sunny mornings. Free private parking is available on site and Lilliers Train Station is 1.4 km away. The château is 14 km from Béthune and Hazebrouck is reached by car in 25 minutes.

The chateau was in lovely surroundings overlooking a lake. It was in a very peaceful situation and we were able to sit on the lovely outside terrace in the sun. Very accommodating owner who offered lots of advice on places to eat. Superb breakfast with coffee served from the crested family silver!!. Charming 19th century chateau set in huge grounds, very quiet but only a short drive from the A26. Excellent host, a real gentleman. Large modernised bedroom and bathroom, all facilities available. Breakfast not very extensive but good quality.

It was also nearby a very nice small town with two fabulous restaurants, including one which was 2 star Michelin, only minutes away. Friendly and welcoming host. Very quiet room in house set in lovely peaceful surroundings and yet in easy reach of Lillers town by car or on foot (about 15 mins brisk walk). Nice continental breakfast. It was a very calm stay. The owner was very nice and the location was perfect. We had a nice french breakfeast in the spacious dining room. The bathroom was big and superb. WLAN worked excellent. We stayed in this fantastic B&B on the way back to Italy from United Kingdom. The room was big and very clean, with a nice view on the garden. The owner was fantastic and very attentive. The Chateau was Old World but was comfortable and provided a touch of luxury not found in most hotels. The location - ideal stopover point before the channel tunnel. 40 mins drive, just off the motorway The owner - helpful, friendly, good English. Would have preferred a king size bed. This would not stop us from staying here again, however. Bed not so comfortable. No milk supplied with hot drink making facilities in room. The toilet in a room separated from bathroom. Slightly shabby exterior. Nothing really, if I had to be very pedantic I would suggest the entrance could be better sign posted. Looks a bit run down from the outside - looks deceive. There is no restaurant, so you have to go out for dinner. Nothing!. First impressions. Then it just got better and better. the breakfast room could be rearranged in the way that every guest feels that he's at a castle ( so no tables against the wall would be better). Nothing. the fact that it was still a project. the entrance to the grounds and to the chateau need attention. It was a little difficult to find even with satnav. First impressions were that it a rundown old building that had seen better days so impressions on arrival were not good. But rapidly the friendly owner and our room made this quirky experience an enjoyable one.
