This was the second time we stayed at Echappee, and once again Graham and Sandra were wonderful hosts. Their philosophy is that they are always available in case guests have questions or need anything, but otherwise they are happy to leave you in peace to relax, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and feel that the place is your own for the duration of your stay. This was so much more than a B&B. Clean, bright, modern and so comfortable. It felt more like a boutique hotel on a B&B budget. The yummy breakfast was placed outside our room at the time we’d requested which was great as we’ve never really enjoyed eating breakfast around a communal table with total strangers. Instead we spent a lovely morning lounging in our big cosy bed in our fluffy bathrobes having breakfast and looking out at the most wonderful views of the Pyrenees and listenin.
This is not a typical B&B - hooray. A place with grace and space. Fantastic studio, well thought-out, catered for all our needs. Very generous breakfast. One of the nicest B&B's we've stayed in, totally love the concept. Well done.
I chose the location for a couple of days cycling. Axat was an excellent location with a great variety of routes and easily accessible from Perpignan. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of Echappee It was like staying with old friends.
Nice to be able to pick up our breakfast and have it in our room. Plenty of it too.
