Housed in a former Christian church, Hangzhou YMCA International Youth Hostel is only 500 metres from the scenic West Lake. It is located along the bustling Qingnian Road and features a sun terrace and free Wi-Fi in the rooms. YMCA Youth Hostel is a 6-minute drive from Qinghefang Pedestrian Street and a 5-minute drive from Nansongyu Street. Wulin Square is a 7-minute drive away. Guests can arrange sightseeing trips at the tour desk, or simply relax in the beautiful garden. Laundry and fax/photocopying services are available for guests’ convenience. Luggage storage is provided at the 24-hour front desk. The rooms come with bright décor and European-style interiors. Each unit is fitted with wooden flooring and a writing desk. Guests get to choose between staying in lively shared rooms, or in a quite private room. The hostel’s restaurant Lamour serves simple breakfast and lunch. Alternatively, there are many restaurants at Wushan Night Market, 200 metre away.

We had a double room on the 2nd floor. No elevator, so you have to drag your luggage up. There is construction work going on (maybe the whole year of 2013) but we were on the other side of the building. The room is a bit small and the bathroom is part of the room (glass door for the shower). The reception is staffed by a variety of young people. Some are incredibly slow and inefficient, but there is a girl who speaks fluent English and is very helpful. Asks if I found the pharmacy and if my col.

Great place to stay if visiting Hangzhou. Clean room and sheets. Very Big bed in a cosy room. We'll stay in again for sure. They provides wifi in rooms. Public bathrooms and shower rooms are seperated in two; male/female. very clean. quite good location and historical building. Location is tricky to find, but near the westlake. They clean the room daily. My room was clean by the time I'm back. 1. The location is okay 2. the staff is helpful 3. the cafe is okay. Location is extremely convenient. The room is quite stylish. Pub/ live music downstairs. comfortable beds pleasant terrace outside hostel cafe. Well, it's a youth hostel. Room is reasonable value for money. In our room there was no bathroom door:-) Quite funny!. The location is little bit difficult to find at first. no toilet paper!!!. I think they need to put separator between the room the toilet. It's not hygiene to have the toilet together with the room. No lift! I had to carry my luggage all the way to 3rd floor. T.T I guess they also put the dormitory separated with the private room. It was so noisy at night because my room was right next to the public bathroom while I paid for private room. room has no sound proof. It seems that there is a construction going on these days, which made the environment unsatisfying. There is mosquito in the room and the bed sheet is not quite clean. Staff is not very friendly; the toilet is -inside- the room, not separate, keep it mind if you're not so 'close' to your room mate. No working internet connection in the room. Not so cheap to be an hostel in China. common washing basin could be better managed ad cleaned. toilet in the bedroom, not in a separate bathroom! toilet kept getting blocked! construction noise - they are building right nextdoor, which will cause disruption for many months cafe doesn't serve breakfast location is not a very close to the lake - busy roads between five floors but no elevator.
