The Fairmont Palliser is an absolutley beautiful place in the heart of all things good in Calgary.Most of the fine hotels in this area can boast that feature alone. Where the Palliser shines is in their staff. All the positions in this hotel are filled with top notch people . Special thanks to Nichole at the front desk. This was our 4th visit to the Palliser and we are looking forward to our 5th.Well Done and thanks to all.

I loved the personnel from the men door to the front desk to the cleaning lady, they re all lovely and helpful person. Food very delicious and fresh. Hotel in the heart of downtown. It s one of my favorite fairmount in the world ( i was in many of them), everytime i m in calgary i ll be stay in this hotel,. I found the staff were always making sure your needs were always looked after. They were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to ensure you were comfortable. Other services and the meals were great as well. We were on our honeymoon and got a free upgrade, which came with loads of perks such as free WIFI, huge room, free breakfast and hors d'oeuvres, etc. it was a luxurious hotel and we loved it!. Got a free upgrade to a lovely king size gold room on the 7th floor. Which gave us access to complementary breakfast and afternoon canapés on the top floor. A beautiful old hotel, with well appointed rooms and comfy beds. Really good food. Excellent location close to everything. Excellent helpful staff. Hotel has a very impressive entrance which welcomed us with traditional dignity. The pool and spa was tranquil and was a pleasure to attend. The Gold room we were upgraded to was fabulous. A real treat. We appreciated the included continental breakfast in a spectacular setting. Everything, since I got there, Everyone was really friendly and helpful. I enjoy the spa and the luxury architecture of this hotel. Perfect service, professionnal staff everywhere. Fairmont experience is always enjoyable. This historic hotel is very charming. Beautiful and comfortable hotel. We were given a free up-grade to a superb suite. Hotel bar and restaurant were fantastic. The Fairmont Palliser was a very lovely hotel. Food very good. The atmosphere of the Paliser has always been great. The food good and the people friendly. Your breakfast buffet is always a treat. Everyone was very kind and polite the whole stay. The staff was excellent - welcoming, hospitable. They made us feel like valued guests. The room was excellent even though there was no dresser for my clothes. Allows you to totally relax as it doesn't feel like a drab hotel. Freindly and helpfull stuff, good food, nice room and shower. Lovley, grand hotel, right in the middle of Calgary. You can't fake old and beautiful, it has it all. The Staff were absolutely Incredible!. Price. Pool and hot tub. Location. friendly staff, very accomodating. I liked the room and the staff. location, historic decoration. Pool open 5am-11pm. Everything. everything. It looks like a castle. Nothing. can't think of anything off hand. We loved it all but the bathrooms were small compared to the bedrooms and the car park next to the hotel was ferociously expensive: we paid $60 for around 36 hours. The public parking was a little awkward and cost $33 for one night. There was a minor problem with the room that couldn't be fixed, so the hotel gave me a discounted room rate and free breakfast. Now that's great service!. Our room looked a bit run down and the bathroom floor was very cold. Food prices were much too high so we ate elsewhere. Seemed a bit of a money grab with a bottle of envian "provided" for us in the room costing $8. N/A. No business center in the hotel!?!? To me this is the only downside considering that this is a downtown hotel with quite a lot of business travelers. Having to pay for Wi Fi. given to cost of the rooms it should be included. Palliser was the only accommodation that we booked and had to pay for Wi Fi. Rien. The help at the front door could use a little training. We had to carry our bags in by ourselves after quite a gruelling day. Thought that was a little unnecessary. Children. But you can't stop them from staying there. ;P. No wheelchair access in the front . This makes it difficult for people with mobility issues and people with children in strollers . $22 Martini. That is just a bit too much. Dumb parking steup. Took ages to find a spot and had to walk a long way back to the hotel. I should have used the valet. Our stay was too short. nothing. $33/Day parking. Just the cost. The internet service for a pay service was not worth the money as I had to contact the help desk just to log in and then it didn't work for more then 5 minutes. When you need it for contact it was a real negative to the whole stay. The train noise outside the window, small room. Nothing to report. nothing. Parking adventure. Neither the clock radio or telephone worked. I had to call long distance on my cell phone to get maintenance to replace the phone so I could place a wakeup call. The toilet ran when flushed & ran from the time of maid service until I arrived back at 6:30 pm. Frankly, I've had better amenities at a Motel 8. Had to pay for internet access and parking after paying such a high amount for the room. Rude, unhelpful staff. Room size for the price. the room was very dry as well the vent was very noisy and we had no sleep. was not happy...
