We spent three nights at the R&C Santa Teresa and were very happy with our choice for romantic vacation. The room was very nice and very clean. The design of hotel is awesome.

Perfect for a two-three day getaway and would work well if the beach is not an option (winter) or just to mix it up before/after a few days at the beach. The area itself is interesting and from what I gather has some cool drinking holes and restaurants. One could start and finish a book in peace here, yet 'feel Brazilian', and not feel they need to join the flock of tourists seeing the usuals in Rio. I enjoyed spending time at the bar, restaurant and spa - perfect for a day of indulgence!

The hostel was in a place near to a main street, we arrived at night
with the taxi and feel safety, but I don't know how long you can go
out there nearby, because we didn't do it. We rented a douple room,

Brandnew design hostel with love to the detail, Amazing staff: Friendly and extremely helpfull. 3 Blocks from Metro in a safe neighboorhood. Highly recommended.
