  location close to city centre - The cleaning/cooking staff was GREAT, very helpful, lovely, welcoming (they even taught us to make tapioca). Location is quite good aswell, despite a bit dangerous apparently. We stayed in room n.4, which was good because we could leave the windows open, that looked over the garden (a very nice garden).   We arrived late to the hotel (18hrs) and expected to loose the room and pay for it as well. Not so, we arrived at 5am and there was someone at the front desk. He helped us with the taxi driver and got us into a room right away. Then they only charged us for half of the previous day. Amazing. Thanks so much. Plaza Republico is a good area but the side streets are a bit dodg - Staff was kind and helpful. The room is large, with enough space for everything. It also has a small living room and kitchen attached, which makes it suitable for long stays.
