Loved it. Got upgraded to a 70sqm apartment that could fit 5 people and we were just 2. Very well located in Merimbula, 100m from the lakeside. Staff (Eric) was very friendly. Hibiscus has a private parking and it's super easy to go in/out of the city.
Our apartment was very spacious & lovely & clean, the kitchen was well stocked with good utensils/pots/pans etc as we cooked a few nights.

This was a great place for our family to stay for a wedding. Plenty of room, close to the centre of Merimbula. And the best thing - AFFORDABLE. if you want a place to stay with a large family it is perfect.
Friendly manager, gave us everything we asked for, helpful; room looked onto garden; central location; separate bathroom; bed very comfortable; plenty of wardrobe space; spacious room.

The room was airy, clean. Unfortunately the light in the bathroom didn't work, but apart from that, everything was fine. Great position!!.
As there were not many in we were upgrades. This we appreciated. It is well appointed with all necessary appliances for cooking.

No heater/cooling system, the middle sliding shower door needs fixing, & the mattress on the double bed is not very comfortable for more than probably a couple of nights.

No undercover parking for my moto. This is something which I didn't think of before I booked and will make sure I ask when next travelling.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Lack of maintenance, missing shower screen, sliding door that won't
close, doors that wouldn't latch in, wardrobe doors that didn't
slide, poor signage of the apartment complex and reception area hard to
find, lawns not mowed.
smoke alarm going off every time we cooked - exhaust fan required. We had windows wide open but it made little difference.
no electric blanket on bed - there was one in the cupboard, but we weren't prepared to use it as the wiring appeared dodgy.

the electric blanket was not on the bed as per the booking info. The night got really cool. The heater in the room was inadequate for the size of the room. The hairdryer did not work. There was only 2/3s of the shower screen.
Manager/offfice uncontactable. Could not even leave message. Apartments in pretty well original condition (70's build). Some maintenance over the years quite poor or missing altogether especially in the bathroom. Parts of shower screen missing. Cracked glass. Remaining sections prone to falling out and smashing on floor. Very poor tile repairs over years. Carpet in neeed of replacement. New kitchen?.
A bit dingy and too many doors to the outside.
Had to climb on a chair to turn on air conditioning.
Connecting stairway to another unit, could hear occupants talking and smell food cooking.

False advertising. Was described as 2 separate bedrooms and separate lounge room/ kitchen. It was 1 bedroom with a 2 beds in the lounge/ kitchen area. Obviously the other bedroom had been screened off and rented out separately. Ripped off and will never stay again and will spread the word of this false advertising. If I could be bothered I would contact Ombudsman, but word will spread anyway. This lack of room ruined the weekend. Advise everyone to boycott this rip off.
There were no staff members on site.Room was small and cramped.There was insufficient tea,coffee,sugar and milk for an o/n stay.
There was mould on the walls of the shower recess. International Roast Coffee supplied and sugar was from McDonalds?? Very second rate!! Had to buy a jar of coffee.
No 'sign' of where people go to check in. The 'office' was shut, with a number to call stuck to the door. After banging on the door, a man appeared, and informed us which room was ours. Most unsatisfactory, even for a 'budget motel'.

Broken window, no lounge seating, cramped, not a studio as advertised,
one fork missing, table unuseable until we moved the tv, tv shelf needs
extending 50mm. Advertised as 2 separate bedrooms plus separate lounge/kitchen. There is only 1 bedroom & a bed in the lounge room. False advertising and so very over priced for what you get. Obviously the 2nd bedroom has been split off and is rented out separately. Rate this therefore as 2 out of 10 and the 2 is for location. Very disappointed to be so ripped off. Suggest no-one ever gets sucked in like we did. Book on somewhere else. .
Very cold and did not have proper heating. The bed was very uncomfortable and had fairly old sagging mattress and very thin pillows.
