It was quiet and just the right size for a weary traveler. The staff were attentive just enough without being overbearing and were helpful in getting me settled. They provided good advice and service on issues such as locations for meals and a drink. Car parking facility was excellent - good parking space and overhead cover, also everything was at our doorstep. Loved the location and the use of the original bank building to maintain the historical factor.

Great central location. Spacious, comfortable, clean, up market type of room. The facilities were great, Staff were pleasant and the location was perfect for getting around. Staff were easy going but efficient & helpful. Perfect location for walking around town near lots of shops. Will certainly stay there again,. The room was well appointed, clean & comfortable. Lovely to have a large comfortable couch in the room. Colours were neutral & relaxing. The room was beautiful and clean with all mod cons. Everthing.It's hard to start really. The staff were lovely. My room was gorgeous. I was a very happy girl. Overall I thought the place was quite nice, the staff are friendly and the facilities good, however.... i loved the room i have stayed in all the top hotel around Melbourne and the room itself was beautiful. Well appointed room. convenience to the CBD and tourist info. The heating was on when I got there. Close to restaurants, theatre. Decor and location. Found second bathroom a bit small. nothing it was all good. All good. The shower hose leaked and sprayed from the side which was a little annoying, but should be able to easily be fixed. Not one negative thing to say. What I didn't like was the price. Yes, I know I booked the place and the argument can be made that this is no secret however I don't think aud$260 per night was good value for money and that is precisely why I wouldn't recommend this place to others. Noisy powerboard-hummed all night-spoke to manager on check-out who agreed to rectify Bar fridge also hummed on/off throughout the night. Finding the Quality Inn was a challenge (due to minimal advertising, because of restrictions re the historic heritage buildings). carparking a bit tight as i had a truck but glad to get a spot. Breakfast arrangements. toilets very noisy in neighbouring rooms. Nothing with accommodation but the breakfast at the George was disappointing. Moldy bread and the service was poor. For laneway concept location and affiliation with the Quest it was a bit of a let down for what we expected. Hopefully it can be improved. Price is a bit high. Windows painted shut. 1. very poor lighting in rooms 2. poorly signed on exterior...hard to find. A little noisy in room 14, seemed other guests general noise came in under the door. Quality of room and bathroom. Too much deodoriser in the room made it difficult to breathe, I left the room door open to allow in some fresh air. Staff at reception could have been more welcoming. Toilet flushing - very very loud. I could hear next door whilst I was in bed. Noisy - band downstairs in function room played until late - sounded like they were playing in our room could not sleep until they finished. Was hard to find, more signage could be good :).
